Hello. I am thinking of purchasing a copy of Ornatrix for Maya, but since I am planning on presenting the final character inside UE5, I was wondering if I should purchase Ornatrix for UE instead. I am not sure what route to take. Please advise !

You should purchase it for whatever app you will perform the actual grooming in. If you're more comfortable grooming in Maya then that's the plugin you need.

Can you export as Alembic file from Ornatrix?

You want to export the hair from Maya as Alembic? If so, yes. In the file menu, Export Selection, you have the option to export the hair as Ornatrix Alembic.

@@EphereSimilar problem i'm afraid. Maya 2019. My problem starts after importing the .usd into unreal, stuck at loading .usd and then error messages displayed
