Such an awesome mouse. I love how Razer refined the G305 shape, making it not a complete ambi mouse, and not keeping the full egg shape. All we need now is a Viper Ultimate Mini/V2. Small mouse user are gonna love this.

Well I was considering a Glorious Model O Wireless for an upgrade from my G305, even though I hated the FK1 I had before and the Model O has the same shape and also rocketjumpninja pointed out QC issues on that, but now that THIS exists all those problems are fixed and then some. This is a straight up upgrade from my g305 without sacrificing what I love about it - the shape, size and battery life. Thanks for opening my eyes to this one Brian! Definitely gonna be looking for this! Also I'm gonna pick up that same wood wrist wrest from glorious for 60/80% boards, cause that thing looks quality and it has your photo on it :P

One of my major questions I had on it was concerning their advertised weight of "< 60g" and wondering if that was including battery. You answered my question in detail as I've come to expect, but I was really surprised you didn't mention their omission on said details. Not at all knocking you, you're just REALLY good at staying on top of communicating for the sake of consumer advocacy. Obviously, a few grams isn't a big deal, but upwards of 80g with a battery definitely isn't less than 60g as stated on the sales blurbs and official tech specs, haha. The people that care are no doubt going to know what specific battery size and compound to buy for weight reduction, but Razer's marketing should really be transparent about that regardless for an experience that meets expectations they're setting.

Great review as always. I just bought this mouse after my g603 scroll wheel click started failing and I love it. But I would not call € 80 for a mouse 'budget'. It's the most expensive mouse I ever owned and I think it is a lot of money for what is a mouse.

I love that the mz1 exists, especially as a fingertip grip user, but I’ve gone 3+ weeks and I cannot get a consistent grip with my 19.5 x 11.5 cm hands. Disappointing but it’s a great mouse

Snagged the white one for $40 on Microsoft store as part of their holiday sale. I lean towards mid-weight mice so the option to use AA batteries is nice. The Bluetooth is a big plus since I will use it for work mainly connected to a Mac.

ngl: saw this pop up (cuz, y'know, the bell) and came here just to click on the aff link. Literally pulled out my OG Orochi two days ago because I was seriously thinking of switching back to it -- had a rotating series of "new mains" on my desk I'm never 100% happy with, and the Orochi was the only shape that has ever perfectly fit my hand size/grip style. That alone is enough for me to click "buy" on the v2 and at least give it a shot.

++ on the sensor placement. So many mice neglect this or take the lazy neutral way out. When I got mine, I was pleasantly surprised to see that there; between that and the button feel, definitely an upgrade from the Atheris (And let's face it, the Orochi 2013/2015 just weren't as advertised). I still think best sensor placement was the old Logitech VX Nano - between the thumb and forefinger. Hnng. Worst easily mice where it's closer to the opposite end, below pinky.

I didnt have the opportunity to test this one, but it certainly looks nice. Reminds me a lot of my old Microsoft comfort mouse, actually. Speaking of which, that one had a seperating wall between the outer grip area and the edges of the buttons. The Orochi seems like it basically needs grip tape. I wonder why it doesnt come with a more grippy material on the sides, like the basiliskV2? Little strips of grip tape just look like crap. :( Personally, since I have no problem with cables, I'd like to see one of these with one. Maybe it could be a lil bigger, but I'd have to get my hands on one first.
