How could anyone forget little Gimli? His condition on arrival at the VMF was heartbreaking, and I just couldn't see how you would be able to bring him back from the dark place he was in, but you have performed a miracle. Your techniques for caring for your charges is amazing, and every one of you is a hero! Bless you all.

Always wonderful to see Gimli now. His story came soon after I found this channel and had such an impact on me. He and all of you are inspirational. Loved this week's video as always. Looking forward to seeing these little ones leave the intro cages, slung under their new Mums, gripping on like they knew how to do it all along. Great to see all the natural behaviours emerging. Thank you!

It is necessary to bathe these babies for anyone finding this good caretaking unneeded remember that the mothers would be regularly cleaning their babies as well as other members of the babys troop taking turns at grooming licking clean and removing any all debris. You wont find a feces covered baby in a troop. Because these are orphaned babies without mothers or troop yet it is imperative these babies are cleaned appropriately because otherwise the debris and urine and fecal matter could actually pose a serious risk to their health and they are already in a vulnerable state some even with healing wounds so i hope this calms those who have taken issue with the required much needed practice of keeping these little ones at optimal care. As with every action this foundation takes to give every life the very best they can i would think anything and everything they do for the unselfish tireless mission they so clearly demonstrate that no question would or could ever be warranted. Namaste.

I think more people would be happy to come and help out by giving their time and paying to be there but due to the increase in the cost of living and increased cost of flight increase in cost of property taxes or rent increases yet no increase in wages makes paying over $2,000.00usd almost impossible whilst also paying costs of living expenses and rent for both home and foundation and certainly foundation cannot pay for volunteers expenses its just a financial hardship for the working class but certainly no issue for the wealthier who are perfectly able to come and assist. I cannot think of a more deserving foundation than this. So, for those of you who are financially comfortable and without any obligations keeping you tethered to your location please go help this most worthy honest wonderful unselfish highly ethical group of pure of heart founders and staff who work tirelessly to save rehabilitate re integrate and release orphaned monkeys well and other animals back into the wild to live their best life. The experience of giving of oneself is often said to be the path of finding oneself. There is something truly healing miraculous and rejuvenating of body mind soul and spirit witnessing such a life changing act of giving these precious innocent lives a new beginning it is quite touching. There is something so pure that happens here and once you see it you recognize those pure traits in the staff the acts of love it is like viewing this world with new eyes and a cleansed soul. I cannot imagine any other foundation more worthy and deserving of every able human being on earth eager honored and fortunate enough to go and volunteer at Vervet Monkey Foundation.

All these babies would die in the wild if the foundation didn't take them in. Read the post by a commenter who said he goes to Africa every 2 years and hunts vervets. He kills dozens of them. Monkeys are considered pests and killed by farmers also. The foundation is the safest place for them.
