Brilliant! Such a welcome distraction from the doom and gloom of Breakfast TV! Not quite the same as being up there, but a pretty close second best. Thanks for taking the time to produce these films!

Thanks for that Andy. Though I have long known the story and significance of Orrest Head for AW, I have NEVER walked up there myself! Have driven past it countless times and have been up many fells over the years. A very attractive and informative video.

Thanks for the kind comment Phillip. I reckon that many walkers have done the same, heading for the bigger fells instead.

Every time I hear the date June 7th, my ears prick up - that's our wedding day, and the date you mentioned is exactly 50 years earlier of our special day of June 7th, 1980. Thank you as always Andy, such a pleasure to walk with you and Bailey. Your paintings are beautiful.

Thank you for the comment. No wonder that the date means something to you, well done for 50 years. Glad that you enjoyed the film.

Wonderfully shot video Andy. You were blessed with great weather and captured the mood perfectly.

Thanks Chris, yes it was an almost perfect day. Maybe the last time I will be on the fells for a while :/

Thanks again for wonderful video. Like Innominate Tarn I really feel his presence up there. The woods and pastures beyond Orrest Head are surprisingly lovely and make for great walking when not up to anything strenuous.

Thanks Eric. Yes, it is surprising how many folk just treat Orrest Head as a short "there and back" route.

Thank you Andy - this brings back memories. My mother and I did this walk back in November 2019, but instead of going through Low Hagg Wood, we ended up following the lane down to the bottom then into the wood where the bridge was. Would have been nicer to have gone through the wood!

Yes, fingers crossed we can all get back out onto the fells soon.

Andy, Question. If I may what type of sketch book are you drawing and watercolor painting in at the conclusion of the video? Thankyou..
