I think the song is dedicated to the heroic struggle of the Irish soldiers , the Irish Tenth Division, made up of about 8,000 volunteers who fought to keep the Kingdom of Serbia alive, somewhere near Dojran there is still a Celtic cross to this day. It says "In memory of those from the Tenth Irish Division who fell on Gallipoli and gave their lives in the defense of Serbia, and in honor of all the Irish who gave their lives in the Great War".

Yes, there was a time when 8.000 brave Irishman defend Serbian civilians - against almost 100.000 Bulgarians! They gave their lives for Serbian women and children, wounded and sick soldiers (our ancestors)... SERBIA REMEMBER ! ☘
