Black is stylish just wondering the comfort. It tends to not reflect sunlight making it hotter than white when used on a sunny day. Is that true?

We haven’t had the pleasure of using them this season yet. With Ariela, our daughter, going off to college this year we have been doing more personal family time. We hope to get them wet soon!

I just placed an order for the same one. Sadly this is the only video on KZbin of the black one and didn’t get to see it in action. How is it? I’m just hoping my dog can fit in there with me. I’m not a big guy at all. So here’s to hoping. They charge a bunch to return it.

Yes I have a question I've seen your video for the Black edition it looks pretty sleek my question is I didn't see any other videos have you had it out on the water do you like it what are your thoughts on durability is it worth the money

Obviously, the author has never kayaked and never used his Oru Inlet which he was unable to assemble on his kitchen table. It's still amazing that he can allow himself to give his thoughts on the sturdiness of this kayak. He could have honestly answered you with simplicity: "No sir, I haven't launched this beautiful Kayak yet... Perhaps my enthusiasm pushed me to affirm things that I have not yet to be verified". But he pitifully chose to justify himself with his family stories. More fundamentally, he didn't prepare his video. His video brings absolutely nothing new, except that it is a parody of unboxing, a fail, in front of fifty trinkets in the background. What's most shameful is that he even chose to copy - yes copy - a sequence from an Oru Kayak video and insert it into his own video. I'm sorry to say, but his video is a waste of time for kayaking prospects trying to honestly learn about OruKayak.

I wonder if the longevity of the black one would actually be better than the standard due to slower UV absorption.

@@josephhawkins5750 Absolutely. Black is the ultimate heat absorber. Consequently, the black kayak is therefore more indicated in the fall at highest latitudes, where the height of the sun is lower, the temperature of the air (and more particularly that of the water) is much lower than ... in the Bay of San Francisco.

@@josephhawkins5750 - Yes, however the original white opaque version allows UV rays into the cockpit. From experience, you’ll want to wear sunblock on your legs and feet or you’re gonna have a bad burn. (Beach XT and Bay LT). However, I like the fact that that my Oru’s look great when illuminated at night from the inside out! Folks often tell me: we thought you were a UFO at first! 😂

Nice idea, Sadly BLACK is pretty difficult to see in the water and you really want to be seen by other boaters, i just ordered the beach LT, i just wish they made them in other bright colors like orange, yellow, sky blue, etc.

I just ordered the Beach LT in black and it says it comes with "safety reflective extras". I'll probably add a set of solar lights as well. I agree, some other colors would be outstanding.
