This reminds me of recent NFHS 5 report. As usual, Kerala tops the list because other states lags heavily. Anyway, that is not the point I want to highlight here. The issue is, majority of women in Kerala still think that their husbands has the right to beat women. Yes, our politically aware, literate state Keralites does think so. Another point was about access to contraceptives. Kerala's TFR is well below national average but at the cost of women. After gruesome process of delivery, women have to undergo tubectomy just because the so called husbands dont want to do vasectomy. Vasectomy is considerably an easy process compared to tubectomy.
