I listened to the whole of the Wolf Precision podcast within a few weeks not long back, when I was working on my own. It was great! In it, remember this chassis being mentioned, now I'm seriously thinking about it as an option for my next stock.. There's something about it. Huge thank you to you Jamie and Wolf Precision, all the way from Australia!

13" LOP is a bit long for most youth shooters, for a .22 trainer do you just cut down the butpad or have you found another way to shorten it? I did not hear any mention on if it has an adjustable mag well, seems that is the biggest factor in getting the .22 trainer mags to feed well.
@wolfprecisioninc Жыл бұрын
I don't think it can be shortened anymore, we where thinking .223 when talking a 22 caliber trainer. Although in a rimfire it would be awesome.

Do you recommend bedding the action on these chassis?
@wolfprecisioninc2 жыл бұрын
So far we have not bedded them. We do check them often and so far so good on the Oryx.

Hi. I'm looking to get one of these in the near future. What was the barrel length of the example in your video
@wolfprecisioninc Жыл бұрын
We offer the carbons in 19.5" and 22.5". Both shoot great and work well for running suppressed too. I think the shorter one would be my choice if I wanted to save weight and keep it really short suppressed for hunting heavy woods/brush. Jamie

How easy is to clean the rifle with this chassis? It looks like the rear stock is in the way for direct/inline access with a cleaning rod. I don't like the idea of having to bow a cleaning rod to run it down the barrel.
@wolfprecisioninc2 жыл бұрын
Thats a great question. We take the barred action out to clean. You could remove the cheekpiece instead but we find it easier just to remove the scope and chassis.

I have seen posts with people having issues with magazines in this chassis. Any issues on your end? Other than the expense.. 60$ for a mag is a touch much.
@wolfprecisioninc2 жыл бұрын
We haven't seen any issues here. Could be other action inlets too. We use the 700 clone. We have build severalknow and just finished one today with this chassis. A really well built budget friendly chassis for sure.
@matth61612 жыл бұрын
@@wolfprecisioninc maybe that is the difference. I believe the comments I saw were on the howa 1500 with oryx chassis 6.5 Creedmoor. Still for the price I'm really leaning toward buying it.

Could someone mention how this chasis would be ideal for hunting and hiking. Is it not more as long range plataform?
@wolfprecisioninc Жыл бұрын
That is a good question. It would be a rugged and a little heavy for hunting for sure. About a 1ld or so extra. But it's design just makes it tough. I'll pull the skins off of one soon and show a little more. Would not be my personal first choice, but we have a lot of people that shoot and love this chassis and do hunt with it. Jamie

@@wolfprecisionincwould you suggest a different chassis for hunting?
@wolfprecisioninc2 ай бұрын
@@paulhouston1865 I like this chassis for hunting. Long range it is not ideal as it does flex a little.
