It's amazing how you recovered so well from your trail race ankle sprain. Please do a video on how to manage those kind of injuries 👌

Congrats! I ran the same marathon, but I was in block H and my time was almost two hours slower than yours. 😆 I ean certainly vouch for the congestion of the race, the cold drizzly weather (although it was way worse in the early morning and eased off a bit in time for the race) and the bag drop which almost made me panic before and after the race. Anyway, great work and thanks for making the video.

Absolutely awesome effort Vlad, must have been quite a challenge going from the relentless heat of perth suddenly to the cold damp Japan. You still did amazing!

I nice insight. Thank you. For a cold start line I highly recommend wearing a shower cap. There will be a free one in the hotel room. As warm as a beanie and weighs nothing. You can stuff it away once you get going.

Congrats! Just realized I was in both the HK100 and Osaka Marathon with you, not that I ran anywhere near as fast as you. Weather in both races were tough. We went from hot and humid HK100 to super cold Osaka. Regarding the bag drop, may have been a blessing in disguise for you as many of us were stuck waiting in lines at the bag drop area, feet completely wet in the mud and bodies freezing. Anyway, do you have plans for the next race yet?

did you do the 100k at the HK100? I might come back next year and do Osaka again, helps knowing who things work and the course now

@@VladIxel No, I only did The Third because the Hong Kong Marathon was in the same weekend. I will do 100K someday when the two races don’t conflict with each other. As for Osaka, we will see. I still prefer Tokyo (which I ran in 2023) but the lottery is just so difficult to win.

Well done Vlad. Am a great fan of yours.. I thank you for the amazing workout videos & tips as I head to SA next wk to challenge myself at the Two Oceans Marathon. Is your Bix products online purchase only or can be found in stores in SA?

I'm surprised about the silence of the streets in Osaka where you warmed up. Different than I imagined. Have you heard about NUTS trail in Finland?
@VladIxel
@VladIxel 9 ай бұрын
yes Japan in general was very quite. no is that a big trail race in Finland?
@runnerfromhel
@runnerfromhel 9 ай бұрын
@@VladIxel Yeah, it is! NUTS-events is the umbrella for single events. NUTS karhunkierros 55km and 83km are the most competetive formats. A staple event for trail runners here in the north. One day you could be there with Bix.

im just wondering vlad, why is it a very strong runner like you not sponsored by a shoe brand anymore?
@VladIxel
@VladIxel 9 ай бұрын
Now that I have Bix, I see more value in racing with a Bix top and building the Bix brand, also after 6 years of running in TNF shoes its nice to train and race in other shoes now
@mdr1120
@mdr1120 9 ай бұрын
i understand. wearing the same brand and running with them for years should be a bit boring. racing with different brand is exciting. 😃 so when will you bring Bix here in the Philippines? 🙂
