Nothing to add- and by the way Sandra Bullock is priceless! No seriously, I've always felt this way and I still do and I'll keep on posting this: - sorry guys - but the intire film is such a masterpiece including everyone who worked on it and Colin Firth was the outstanding one!! Sure each of these gentlemen deserved to win, just like every year. Some fans always get disappointed and probably we should always be sorry for the four guys who missed their chance (if we forget that good acting is not just about winning statues for these men), but we gotta be fair. Eventhough this might had been Eisenberg's only chance ever to win the statue or it could have been Franco's once in a lifetime honor for his actual acting talent, since he got the best role of his career so far with 127 Hours...but in the end Firth stole it with his remarkable portray of King Georg VI! Very deserved, Congratulations!!

The King's Speech was an excellent film. They just don't make words big enough to describe how much I love it. It could have been dreadfully boring, long, and slow, but it was nothing of the sort. It was gripping, heartbreaking, enthralling, and absolutely beautiful, and it was mostly a character study with very little action!! And Colin Firth! What can even be said about his performance? Everyone in the film was outstanding, but he personified one of the most beaten down and terrified, yet important and iconic men in history - a man who was unwillingly thrust into the role of keeping a nation alive and being the mascot of hope for an entire people facing almost certain defeat and subjugation, a man who was completely oppressed my his massive duty and responsibility, carrying an unimaginable weight every day. It's difficult to overstate the role King George had in the lives of the British public during that awful war (well, the King *and* the Queen Mum) nor how little he and his family wanted any of it. Colin Firth managed to convey all of the fear and courage and duty that was poor, sweet King George VI's life. He was a true star in this role.

They're thanking Weinstein only because they are forced by a contract to thank him. He's only an executive producer in the movies - he only pays for them and can give certain actors leading roles, and in return they are obliged to "thank him" in their speeches. That's how the film industry works.

Why this movie was so special to me because I had a speech impediment as a child and felt his insecurities and emotions when I saw this movie. I can't think of another actor that could have played this role to perfection but Collin did. Thank you for your performance and showing the world the vulnerable side of this King George VI.
