@@emmarose4234 No. And he wasn't responsible for that phrase, Tex Avery was. Chuck was better known for taking Robert McKimson's Bugs' model design, and drawing him more and more sloppy from the 1950's onward. It was like a competition between Friz Freleng and Chuck as far as who could add heavier sloppy lines to the character...by the early 1980's, Bugs looked like shit.

RIP Robin WIlliams - only reason he was never asked to host the Oscars was because the hospitals wouldn't have coped with the admissions of people suffering from side splitting pains from laughing for 5 hours. I adore Chuck Jones, he is the best director of Looney Tunes and also the producer of Tom and Jerry from 1962 to 1967. To be honest, since childhood, I have never met cartoons with funny scenes, but thanks to Chuck Jones, I have understood humor perfectly since then. Now, I will soon be 15 years old, watching Chuck Jones cartoons, I get nastolgia and I want to return to my childhood to watch all these cartoons. I will miss Chuck Jones, I wanted to meet him and say thank you for the cartoons that he drew for all the children. Thank you Chuck Jones.

@@hadinasrallah8928 It worked like this: The voice guys read the script which was written per the director's instruction , then the cartoon was drawn to match the voices. The producers/directors told Mel what the character was supposed to be like and then Mel(in most cases) came up with the voice.

Wrong. Mel Blanc didn't voice Elmer Fudd, Sniffles, Roadrunner, Playboy Penguin, Granny, Witch Hazel, Colonel Shuffle, Papa Bear, Mama Bear or Michigan J. Frog.

Disney deserves respect for their technical achievements but Warners and Fleischer Studios churned out vastly superior films.

That's definitely subjective. Chuck spent his early years trying desperately to make his films like Disney...and while the animation looked good, the story was mostly crap. Later on, he had a lot of abstract ideas and with good writing from Michael Maltese, the films were smarter.

He won the oscar for best lead actor that night for leaving las vegas and he was fantastic in that film as he has been many other films. He just picks bad film roles so subsequently it makes him look like a shit actor even though he's still the incredible talent he once was.

Jones definitely had a part, but you are correct. Jones worked with a late age Bugs, helping keep him relevant at a time when animation started to suck in the 1950's. If anyone deserves credit as well, it's Robert McKimson, that dude did a lot including designing the Bugs we know today.
