+Jeffrey Lebowski American Sniper is a controversial film. I think the producers, the director Clint, even Bradley understood that when they made the film. Although it didn't get much appreciation from the award-giving bodies like the Oscars or the Golden Globes, its performance at the box office makes it a financial success. And so it did turned to gold nonetheless.
@nutterbipple9 жыл бұрын
blognewb It is very controversial, what are you saying? The movie drew a lot of negative reviews and responses from critics/moviegoers alike. The controversy revolves mainly on glorifying American elitism, racism-misleading generalization of Muslim stereotypes, and many more. Google the movie, it's like the only thing you'll find about it. You're right on it being inaccurate though. The movie deviates a lot from the book; in other words, it got Hollywood-ed.

I'd just like to say that not every Brit thinks in the same way as the commenter you responded to - in fact, I think that most of us are very grateful for a lot of the talent that America has shown us over the years. Talent comes from all over the world, and self-imposing boundaries using such arbitrary criteria as nationality does the world no favours. (Not criticising your comment, just showing support!)

Brilliant performance, in one of my favourite films. Btw. I can't leave her dress without any comment. She looks absolutely amazing.

This was a very tough year as Imelda Staunton was heartbreakingly good in Vera Drake and Winslet exceptional also. But for pure power and gut wrenching emotion Hilary comes out top. The whole movie was so different to the normal Hollywood "underdog comes out on top" fare that we are so used to seeing. That's why won big on the night for best actress and also best picture, best director clint Eastwood and best supporting actor Morgan freeman. And to think swank once started in the next karate kid!!

Swank clearly deserved to win, her performance was beautiful, touching and harrowing. Everyone knew she was the best actress that year, in one of the best films ever made. Well done, Hilary!

That's two guys who always play the same type of guy. Carey Grant and James Broadbent have them beat all over the place for their diverse wit, excellent acting and diversity within acting. Care to name more?
