Thank you, thank you thank you. I’m 38 years old and have some pretty massive bilateral tuberositys on my knees. This is the first breakdown that went into the lower back and attention that surrounds that and I found a small roll and stretch my symptoms in both knees or instantly alleviated. 1 million thanks to you my friend

Hey, I just came across this video. I recently stopped playing football because of Osgood-Schlatter disease. Constant stretching and strengthening of the thigh haven't helped me. This video gives me new hope... I just did the exercise with the foam roller and instantly felt less pain. Maybe this is the way forward. In any case, thanks a lot for the video. Most doctors hardly explain the connections, and this is the first time I'm hearing about the back and the nerve in the thigh.

I did not have it diagnosed as a teen, but I realized later that I had it. I wrestled in HS. Part of conditioning along with 45 minutes of calisthenics and two hours of wrestling was a three mile run. The running killed me. By the end of wrestling season I could not walk without pain and running was very painful. As a result I could only do one sport, wrestling. I grew out of this by age 20. I had it in both legs. In my 30s I competed as a cyclist. I believe this disease had an impact on my left leg with compensation where I did not use my quads and glutes and overworked my adductors leading to low back issue and tight adductors with big knots in the muscles which I am now just resolving after 35 years of racing with pain.

I was a very athletic active child when I was about 12 I was diagnosed with this and was never able to get on my knees my entire life. I never thought about it till my girlfriend asked me why I have bumps on the front of my knees. I deal with back pain as an 38 year old adult now.

Thank you for this. I have a client who battles with this and my goal I'd to build the right things. He does have a weak lower back and glutes. I give him Pilates exercises that target these areas and it helps him. This is confirmation that I am on the right track❤🎉

I'm definitely going to try this - i'm 25 and still have super annoying pain at the top of shin bone. Definitely is Osgood Schlatter but everything says its only in youth. So glad you have made this video and buying a foam roller now to see if it will help. thanks!

Thank you so much for this video and the in depth explanation of Osgood Schlatters Disease. I have been struggling with this for a couple years now as a gymnast so I really appreciate these strategies about helping my knees.

I inniatially thight I had pattelar tendinitis, as pains around that area became more noticeable after starting to excersise again. Turns out I had the OSD after poking underneeth the knee cap. The idea of solving the issue from the back made sense to me, as I had a disc before. I teted my knee pain going up three stairs at once it was like a 5/10. So I used a tennis ball for 5 minnutes my back was tight as rod, then i gave my massage gun to my sister for 5 min. I made my back loose. Retested with going up the staires, boom the pain was reduced significantly. Did the recomended quad stretches and the pain went away completely!! Thanks alot!!!

Like many I find your videos very educational and beneficial, and get to apply what I learn here for improvements in my health, so thank you for that Grant. I would like your channel to grow and have a couple of suggestions which may help: 1-Because KZbin platform is global, not everyones fluency in english is advanced so when you listen to your videos you may be ok to understand your self but for people like me to whom english is a second language we have to 'sort through' the accent as well as the sound quality. It seems like there is a lot of reverb/echo and distortion in the audio recording, I don't know maybe you are using your video recording device to record your audio so the distance may be causing that, so perhaps a mic extended with a cable closer to you may be a way to solve the issue, I'm no expert on the matter so can't realy help how to solve it, but there is a problem in the sound quality. 2-I highly recommend you add keywords to the videos you up load, besides the titles, as far as I know the 'key-words' help bring up your vids in users' word/topic searches in youtube, so this may generate new followers who will also benefit you and they benefit from your channel as well. Anyways, I apoligize if this was unwelcome, but I sincerely believe good channels need to be more visible. Thank you again and best wishes.

Thank you for this! I’m an adult and have the lump consistent with OS disease but it doesn’t hurt… anyway in my yoga I’ve noticed the side the lump is on has always been less flexible. I’m wondering if I just stretched too far recently. I am wondering if you believe deep tissue massage on that section of the back can help. Thank you again!

Thanks for your content! I've asked about this before, but I think you had to go for a trip and eventually stopped hearing from you: Do you do online video consultations?
@YourWellnessNerd2 жыл бұрын
Hey Peter! Sorry for the lack of contact! Video consults aren't necessarily something I'm able to do at the moment. I have plans to down the track but currently not. Can I help you with anything?

Hiya, thanks for all the in depth content! I was wondering your thoughts on a rehab strategy for Achilles pain/tendinitis. I think I over flexed my Achilles while rock climbing and developed an acute injury and I’m confused how I should help it heal. I watched a video saying how heel drops and full flexion is actually making things worse if it is insertional injury which I think it is in my case. Thanks in advance!
@YourWellnessNerd2 жыл бұрын
Best of luck with it Glen! Usually it's important to figure out why the Achilles was vulnerable in the first place. Whether it's a stiff ankle, tight hips, stiff low back etc, improving your relevant areas are often key to allow the Achilles to settle while working on the Achilles specific rehab.
