Very tidy Oshkosh 'S' Series front discharge concrete mixer wagon, regarding the undercarriage ,the fourth axle you said is a tag, no ,the axle described is a' pusher' because it is mounted ahead of the drive axles. In UK we have lots of wagons fitted with lifting pusher axles, single drive artic(semi) tractors , bin wagons(garbage) trucks, and long wheelbase curtainsider wagons. The pto off the KittyCat C13 has a Doxford Bibby detuning wheel to dampen out vibration to protect the hydraulic pump. On standard off the peg wagon mixers in UK the hydraulic pump is driven via a cardan shaft off the engine flywheel.

Love the sound of the air operated transfer box hi-lo switch , really cool, Judging by the placard the transfer box is permanent all wheel drive, like a Range Rover with air operated diff locks on the rear bogie (tandem axles), transfer box. When loaded on the road drive only goes to the rear most axle ,6x2 mode, full 6x6 available off road, is that right ?.

How do you train new drivers?? Your videos are INVALUABLE, and are easing my mind with the almost inevitable change! Thank you!!😊😊😊
@banasconcreteservice55332 жыл бұрын
Well, obviously the cabs are single seats. So training involves following the new guy in a pickup, or whatever company vehicle they use for it, and instructing the driver while on the fender at first and then along side the truck from the ground once he starts getting the hang of it. I've been doing the training now for our new drivers. First day with me is me operating the truck and having him sit on the fender and watch as I explain what I'm doing.
@banasconcreteservice55332 жыл бұрын
There are trainer front discharge trucks, they allow a second guy to ride shotgun. Not every company has them though as they're expensive to keep around.

Excellent walk around tutorial. Watching a few of your videos today and you have to STOP saying “nothing special here/there”. If anyone watches this video, it’s bcz they think it’s pretty cool and kinda ‘special’. *Video Idea - Make a video on some of the admixtures you guys use in your mixes. I’ve always heard that the water reducers are pretty close to the same chemical make-up as dish soap. Any truth to this?
@banasconcreteservice55334 жыл бұрын
fair enough, most of things I brushed over are a few of the normal big truck equipment. Yes water reducers are very similar to dish soaps. If you're mixing concrete yourself out of a bag, you can add dish soap to it to bring the slump up a little without adding a bunch of water for example.
