Does geospatial data analysis help in OSINT? Would you recommend fully focusing on OSINT as the “main skill”?

Great questions! Yes geospatial data can help with an OSINT investigation for sure. As far as if OSINT would be a good main skill focus, that will fully depend on the person and their goals. For a more technical role probably not the most useful skill to focus on but say you want to get into Cyber Threat Intelligence or some kind of public investigation role, then I would say OSINT is great! Hope this helps.

I would recommend getting some basic cybersecurity certifications like sec+ and perhaps try to find an internship. Look around for Cyber Threat Intelligence CTFs too this is a great way to get hands on experience. Best of luck!
