My favorite Woody Allen movie! Loved Caine and Hershey.

Grove Street at Bedford looks almost exactly the same today. The Village never changes because they landmarked so much of it. 😊

Went to see this in 1986, loved it. Hooked on Woody Allen's films since watching Manhattan, shot in black and white, with the opening feature of landmark architecture and George Gershwin's Beautifully dramatic composition 'Rhapsody in Blue'. It's an amazing film. 🌈 Maxine sobers Great Yarmouth England ❤️

@@masmas6463 There ought to be a Woody Allen Appreciation Society, based on the quality of writing, and inclusion of all expressions of art and music. Here in Great Yarmouth, there is room for all cultural ideas in order to expand inclusion. Cinema has changed a great deal, which unfortunately talented directors, and writers like Woody Allen have withdrawn future films, concerned about the lack of direction and negative impact on the audience. In my view, Woody's contribution to the film world, comedy, and literature will be hugely missed.💖🇬🇧

Brilliantly funny and affecting scenes of course, but you were brilliant in your own right to cut the clip off at precisely that instant.

like most commenting here, I bet you know the film virtually by heart as well!

@@richardclarke376 I couldn't write out the script to save my life, but yeah, almost every line I hear prompts the next one in mind before it's delivered. I'd say I've seen it five or six times, the first time around in the first month of its release. Not in the past 15 years though.

In over 50 films under his belt Woody Allen has answered his own morose misgivings about life himself. He MUST have picked up the Holy Bible more then a dozen times in his life and not liked what he read as it had REAL answers to his and humankind's dilemma's. Yes we might not know but we definitely HAVE TO know once we read the scriptures. WE make life hard only because like Woody we refuse to believe what we read. We refuse to surrender to an all knowing all powerful and righteous loving God that is holy. Our human pride and stubborness gets in the way every time. In the end I have concluded that if we are chronically depressed and confused about the human condision we call life its our own fault because we will it so. We want and excuse to be miserable and contemplate the meaning of life and then death every single day - ALL DAY long. Jeez.
