What is UV-Protection Oil?
UV-Protection Oil offers two clear finishes for vertical structures; the 420 Extra is furnished with active ingredients to protect the coating against mould, algae and fungal attack. Whilst the 410 is safe for humans, plants and animals when dry.
The UV-Protection Oil is a product based on natural oils, which protects wood from the inside out; nourishing wood whilst enhancing the natural grain in the wood.
The finish is microporous, which does not crack, peel or flake. In addition to this, no sanding necessary when topping up coating!

Hi. We have just had a fence installed this is a ruff sawn timber. We love the thought of keeping the wood natural. We inquired today about the osmosis product and we’re told by a very unhelpful and rude guy. That osmo is not the product we are looking for. Can you advise on a clear uv protection in this range that will be suitable. Great content and love that oak finish.

Hi there, Osmo can be used on rough sawn timber! It will however soak in a lot more product, therefore more than usual will need to be used - We recommend to spread it out as much as possible with a brush. In terms of a clear finish, the UV-Protection oil is ideal for fences!

Hi. Can you tell me how much more product will be required for rough sawn timber? I have just started painting a barn clad in Yorkshire boarding and I have gone though far more than the instructions suggest.

Rough sawn? Ouch, very porous surface. A clear wood preserver would have been more appropriate. Did you know clear coatings outside can be quite high maintenance (potentially every six months)?

That looks like it could be the 432 LIGHT OAK from the Tints range.
