If you ever get to raids or inferno or pvm, the double run speed would be gamebreaking

Great thought, movement is too tied to the tick system, changing it would likely need a full engine rework :(.

While I do agree that run energy doesn't feel good I do feel like the current system is very tied to it. We do love oldschool and it's jankyness. 150% energy doesn't sound "oldschool". It took me some time but I think it's good we get new content and keep the old content somewhat the same, with some quality of life changes. Now what we could do is something like an "agility special" that gives you for example infinity run energy for x seconds. Like super stamina potion or something. That would be super fun and reduce the constant depletion for important moments.

Well technically 110% faster wouldnt be possible because of the tick system, we run at 2 tiles per tick, 50% faster would be 3 tiles per tick, 150% faster would be going at 5 tiles per second, zooomin! I'm assuming you meant going 150% of the run speed though :D I think I've heard jagex did something like this in a league at one point, though ive never played leagues so im not sure. A lot of bosses and mini games and skilling methods would need to be nerfed/changed, all activities where movement is apparent have been built and tested based on the max speed being 2 ticks (among many other things of course, irrelevant). Hallowed sepulchre would be broken, god wars bosses would get new metas, smithing would be 450k-550k xp per hour for example. It would feel soooooo good though, I really hope they find a good solution for it, and yours has a pretty solid base i feel. Just finished the vid and I was thinking... Infinite run, togglable walk, 4 dose "adrenaline" pots with maximum 10 seconds of "sprinting" (3 tiles per tick), maybe even 5 seconds. This could work, they might need to work on bosses that rely on run energy management but there arent many of them I think. Zilyana comes to mind, and I've heard one of the raids is popular for it. They could also add more creative bossing mechanics where walking is essential like with vorkath (not really essential but whatever), and also mechanics where they could choose to bring these adrenaline pots to make the fight go a little bit faster in some cases. It's all about balance and game balancing is haaaard man.

they could also only make adrenalines useful as charges for full graceful, you can toggle triple speed for charge use or whatever. that way you can't really use the triple speed at pvm content

RS3 devs explained several times that increasing run speed is not feasible for technical reasons, so I'm pretty sure the same applies to OSRS. And this is talking about the 50%. A 10% would, ironically, be even more impossible. Walking is 1 tile per tick, running is 2 tiles per tick. A +50% to running would be 3 tiles per tick, but a +10% would simply not fit into an integer amount of tiles per tick.

I just think with a tile system, movement speed items are a lot harder than in something like WoW. It would probably interrupt the whole flow of the game and I'm not sure how it would impact on the tick system. I don't think the idea's are bad exactly, I just don't know how realistic they are.

the way the speed works now is 1 tile per tick for walk, 2 for run, so you couldn't really do 10% speed think - maybe it can take adrenaline charges and uses them at a half rate so its worth it to wear + saved inventory ? i do like the infinite run though, very annoying mechanic

How do you expect 110% speed to work? You move 2 tiles per tick while running.

The problem with agility is just that leveling agility doesnt do a whole lot for run energy, having 99 agility should solve most of your running needs but it doesnt.

With how movement works in this game, for implementing your idea they would need to remake the whole run system. Even RS3 with eoc still uses this old movement system. The only thing they have is the option to rest.

Also I'm pretty sure run energy regens faster and maybe drains slower in RS3 by default, in addition to being able to rest

Just checked. RS3 you can run between 1:26 and 2:00 mins depending of agility, before considering weight. OSRS you can run between 0:45 and 1:30 seconds depending solely on weight. Regenerating energy from 0 to 100 by walking, 1:15 mins at 1 agility to 0:55 at 99 in RS3 (without resting). 12:30 mins at 1 agility to 4:00 at 99 agility in OSRS

Increasing run energy is not a good thing in my opinion. Better scaling is the only thing thatw ould be a benefit without completley breaking the game.

I think in the wilderness run energy should remain at 100, because managing stamina is an essential part of pking

Being able to run 3 tiles per gametick will ruin speed combat achievements in all 3 raids because theres alot of running, its also gonna break alot of other pvm encounters where the content is designed around u only being able to move 2 tiles per gametick. Once you get to endgame pvm you will see it.

Run energy isn't shit, training agility is, so no, I don't like this suggestion, training agility is the main reason I purchased membership in the first place, a few years ago, and I've enjoyed the game a lot... I don't think a new player having to "walk back to Lumbridge" is really going to send them away...

This is a L take. You mention new players a lot.. how is this 150% boost going to help new player bob run to cows when he's new and has no money. Something definitely needs to be done about agility.. but having people zoom around in Old School Runescape is not it. Keep that in RS3.

This is easily one of the worst takes on agility I have ever listened to. If you think that 150% movement speed would not be absolutely game breaking, you are definitely not experienced enough to be offering suggestions.
