This would have been scarier if you played the original Amityville horror movie. The remake was a watered down G version... And, yes - people still buy/live in that house...

My mother and I thought the same thing! This version of the movie took away part of the scary factor that the original movie had.
@regandehaven47053 жыл бұрын
yesss or they should've played the interviews of the family or the interview of Lorraine Warren, that gives much more backstory to the house and honestly is way scarier than the movies knowing that real people went through that and that it is real.
@bradkirchhoff37513 жыл бұрын
Bc it was a hoax. The kid faked it and once the Warrens realized theyd been made a fool out of they just created their own story.
@bradkirchhoff37513 жыл бұрын
That house isnt haunted. At least not in the way its reported to be.
@Jayde_Skye3 жыл бұрын
I am so happy that you chose Amityville horror for the US haunted house. However I am going to agree with some others that are saying that the original Amityville Horror movie was at the very least 10 times scarier.

they didn't show any of the more scary parts of the film like the baby in the closet or some of the bedroom scenes
@bradkirchhoff37513 жыл бұрын
Im sad they did that house bc its not a true story. Michael Dafeo faked it. He made fools out of the Warrens but they decided to create their own version of the story. I have my own evidence of paranormal stuff in our world but the Amityville story is a known hoax.

I thought this was going to be like the professional Haunted Houses that are set up around Halloween in America. Where I used to live in 🇺🇸 , factories downtown would turn into a really scary Haunted Houses, hiring professional set designers, cosmetic artists, and people to dress up, act, and scare ppl. They make pretty good money too as it's $20 a ticket. ㅋㅋㅋ I'd love to see a reaction to this!

There are two different stories in horror: internal and external. In external horror films, the evil comes from the outside, the other tribe, this thing in the darkness that we don't understand. Internal is the human heart 👻👻👻
@ApatLang3 жыл бұрын
Almost all good horror stories are "internal" as you put it. Most "external" horror films incorporate both. One of my favorite horror movies is Hereditary - where the main scare is demon possession. But the story is about a family dealing with grief of having to bury a child.
@evelinecarolinelienhuaming11843 жыл бұрын

In America there is a house in a neighborhood, I need to find the info, but the haunting became so bad it nearly burned the children alive during the day. They left to move, but the mother forgot something and went back inside to get it.. The spirits went ballistic. After leaving for good the neighbors suddenly reported activity, knobs rattling, shadows and bangs, whispers. Gradually four homes in that neighborhood were vacated and to this day they say no one is able to live in them. The haunting left the house for the three others, it was that strong.

I have a true story. Regarding the Amityville House in New York. It’s on Long Island, just across the water from the city of Manhattan. My late wife and I were sitting in a car in a fast food hamburger joint parking lot, a place called Wendy’s, and we felt weird. Our skin was weird. Like ants were crawling on us. Then we looked up we looked around we didn’t see anything. A man walking by saw the strange look on my wife’s face and he said, “Oh, that house across the field right there-that is the Amityville House.” We both had heard all of the stories. We were so freaked out that we drove away right away. We didn’t even know what that place was when we arrived, but it is that place. We had no idea we were there and it was affecting us.

The house I Lived in from the age of 13-20 was haunted. My sister who was 6 kept telling my mom she didn't want to sleep upstairs because a little boy kept waking her up wanting to play. When I was home alone for a weekend it sounded like a bunch of partying upstairs. I went to the bottom of the steps and yelled for them to stop. The noise didn't stop til I screamed at them a second time. After my brother was born he was around 1 year old and started getting night terrors. We had a child gate at both the top and bottom of the steps. My mother thought she heard my brother crying. so she went to the steps she saw a little boy at the top she thought it was my brother and kept telling to to stay tthere. by the time she got upstairs the boy was gone and my brother was sound asleep in his crib. My uncle had a cross necklace ripped from his neck while he was sleeping. Saw angel figurines be turned around. And he also stated he had times where it felt like some one was sitting on his chest and scratching him. During these times he would feel like he was burning up. I also would suffer sleep paralysis and extreme deja vu while loving there.

Some thongs to throw put there: Amityville is definitely one of the most notorious paranormal places in the US. However the original film is much scarier, though the films themselves don’t do more than touch on the original crime but what happened to the family who moved in after the murders. Probably so they can avoid paying DeFeo as much as possible. Because yes, Ronnie DeFeo is STILL ALIVE and in prison. And there are a lot of details about the murders that make it more terrifying. If you wanted to look at more haunted places in the US I recommend the Hotel Cecil.

the bank has been buying and losing the Amityville house for years. The bank currently owns it, specifically to keep it off the market. No one lives there it’s pretty much just for show now. They had to add security and a fence to keep people out. They said they plan to keep it off of the market forever this time because it is not safe. It has been lived in for 4 months in 2016 (the bank bought it in 2017 and still owns it today) before the residents handed it over to the bank. No one lives there now and no one ever will again as far as the bank in concerned
