Thats one Nice truck Osta! Love it! When they went to the 6.4L Hemi in 2014 they raised the gear ratios to 4.10. The 2013s & down had the 5.7L Hemi and came with the 4.56 gears which was nice. The main problem with the Cummins is the weight. Your adding a 1000 lbs to the front end which absolutely destroys any off road capability. Its fine for the highway but Its not for the off road world. Thanks Great review .

Really cool truck! Unfortunately they don't drive around in the Netherlands that much because of the mpg and the narrow roads. The de-chromed pieces looks really clean and nice

Love it! Everything about it (I wouldn't have done the airbags tho, just personally) love the winch/front end! One of the few true off road rigs available!

+WoOsKii 1 the airbags worked flawlessly I ran them with Daystar cradles so they are not attached to both the frame and the axle at the same time so they do not limit articulation and make carrying heavier loads easy

+ostacruiser Yea I saw that, I think that's a really great solution and I like it, but I have had little experience w/ airbags and they were not good, ha. Just call it an irrational fear. I've been looking at PW's lately and have come to the conclusion they are the best off road truck you are likely to see at a dealer.

Wicked set up big time! Volo make a simple device that you can remove for service, all it does really is prevent the timing from being cut back from full advanced. Cold air would be helpful to; too bad it didn't have the sport hood, cuz you could do the ram air mod. No break upgrade with those big tires yet? That 8 speed auto would be nice in there, wish they would change that, and put the ecco diesel in with it too.

I have a 2016 ram pw looking to put 37s on also. Just to double check you do not have any aftermarket lift involved other than the spacers and air bags to get the clearance correct?

Amp research boards need to be maintained. Keep the joints washed. They have a wash mode. Basically just keep pressure on the board after you close the door

ya osta had the same dilemma, wanted the power wagon but needed that cummins. ended up with the cummins and wow what a truck. i have 35's on it and fuel mileage is awesome 12-14L/100 highway and 15-16L/100 towing toy hauler....but ya that's a beauty rig you got there

another reason they shouldn't do the cummins, is the lack of throttle response. I find it difficult to modulate while wheeling and especially difficult in the dunes with my cummins. great build btw

love the ram trucks I've got a 15' 2500 mega cab 4x4 with the 5.7 put a truck camper in the back and haul my honda pioneer 1000-5 in an enclosed trailer I still get 10.5mpg I would like the airbags in the rear since the load squats it a bit and I blind people at night. what brand bags are those?

How did I not see this. I got a Go Rhino bumpers front and rear with smittybuilt 12000 lb with wireless remote. Which is a must for that bumper The 12000 lb Warren winch that came with my truck won't transfer to another bumper without modification.

looks great. working on trading my Rebel on 35's for a new bodystyle Wagon. Any issues rubbing the 37's when wheeling / flexing the truck? what was the width and offset of those wheels?

Were you able to fit those 37s with just the spacer on the front? Do they rub anything? If it work like that there's no need for any more lift.

+knightwing4 they still rubbed a bit when flexing it out I had the inner Fender trimmed also and it's still rubbed a little bit on the mud flap maybe Kickbacks would work better

Do you ever strip the bolts for the belt cover? I stripped one and I can't get it off. A power drill doesn't have enough power to heat it up and melt the back plate off. So in doing it by hand now and it takes forever

How did the front level affect the sway bar disengage? I've learned that this is an issue with leveling kits on the powerwagon model. I have a stock 2015 power wagon and wanted to level the front but I haven't found a reliable answer on HOW I can get it done with a level kit. What I've been told is that I'd have to do a full suspension lift. Any advice is much appreciated!

They also change the shift points and remove torque management. Might just need a good tune and skip the gear change.

for everyone telling him that he should have gotten a diesel there's no point to get a diesel unless you plan on towing 10s of thousands of pounds which I doubt he does be cause he has giant tires and a lift so no point in paying diesel fuel prices and the rediculous amount it costs to maintain a diesel

Sick truck man! I have a 2016 PW. Do you have rubbing on your control arms on full lock turns? If not, how did you get around that. I have been looking at larger tires, but I don't want rubbing. I don't believe Carli makes the high clearance control arms for the Gen 4's yet. Any insight is appreciated.

are the air bags better for the suspension travel or worse compared to stock. And how about towing, i know the soft suspension in the power wagon is what limits it's tow capabilities, do the air bags raise the tow capacity?

+rev9fan1 I ran the airbag setup with Daystar cradles so they are not actually attached to both the frame and the axle so it does not limit flexing at all they are the perfect addition to be able to carry more weight safely

Power wagons do not have diesel engines because the diesel engine adds much more weight up front which isn't optimal for the off road driving that the power wagon is designed for.

+BR Outdoorz Yes had them right up until I traded it on the new dually. I put 37 stt pros on the dually as well. They were great in everything. Snow. Mud. Rain. Not the best on glare ice but not terrible either
