I've been doing this 2x per day for 5 months for osteoporosis. But I noticed that it has also helped reduce my lower back pain significantly. I am now pain-free most days. Thank you, Sara!

Hi. I noticed in your comment you said "series" . This is my first time seeing this - after I saw there was a series I checked the description and found nothing. Could you possibly please provide a link or tell me how to find this series? Thank you so much!!
@JLWall272 жыл бұрын
@@psb12121 Sure! Easiest way (IMO, of course!) Click on Bob & Brad to go to the main page of their channel. Click on Playlists and look for Osteoporosis -- The Meeks Method. Click on View Full Playlist and you'll see all the videos in this series that have been posted to date. You can also type Sara Meeks in the channel search bar and you'll see this series and interviews done previously. Hope this helps! :)

This is a superb exercise. First time learning from you. This made me feel so good. On another exercise where you have to extend one leg I am unable on one side.. Haven't seen Dr. yet so don't know if there is an injury. I do like receiving the benefit of your decades of experience in PT, particularly osteoporosis. Look forward to helping my body heal & renew through following your videos.

I've been doing this when my back pain gets too bad and it always works in the short term. I like to listen to music which helps me stay still longer. I'm hoping for long term improvement.

Thank you Sarah so relaxing! I’ve recently had a very successful C3 to T3 fusion and a L3 to Si fusion. Somehow I moved or stretch wrong and now I’m getting a jab like pain in my left buttock and sometimes the left thigh and ankle. My question is should I continue with walking or rest my leg? Thanks so much for all your help for us all! Hugs 🤗 and be well.

Sounds like a trapped nerve. There's an exercise I learned for that. Hard to describe here.
@skippy64622 жыл бұрын
Stand against the wall for balance only but don't lean on the wall. If your left butt is hurting let your left leg take the weight, relax your knee, and move your right leg 🦵 to cross over your left leg dangling. So left leg is holding all your weight. Right leg is crossing over your left leg with your right toe just touching the ground. Again the weight is on your left leg. Then sloooowly bend your head down and slowly move through each vertebrate bending down until your arms are dangling. By this point you're bent in half. Arms neutral and dangling. Weight is on your left leg & knee bent slightly. Right leg crossed on front of your left leg and small touch of your pointed toes. It's a simple but very effective way to release a trapped nerve. If you feel the pain in the right butt then the opposite leg needs to go in front. Hope that helps.

Would love to know the brand of the pillow used. I’ve tried countless pillows, spent lots of money. I can’t find one that doesn’t leave me positioned with either my neck in my chest from being too big, or head too far back from being too thin.
@gentleoldmoviefan56802 жыл бұрын
Regarding the pillow that John is using, is there a brand that Sara recommends for others to use? (that maintains a good curve in the neck, and also maintains a good head position?) Does Sara know of good sources, and recommended brands, for such pillows?

Honestly after my car accident 5 years ago I had horrible upper back pain. I’m so glad I didn’t get injection or start taking pain medications for pain. I use the true stretch at the gym and go to Pilates It’s really help alleviate pain. It’s crazy what alignment will do

Hello Sara. Does one absolutely need to use the head pillow if don't need it for correct head positioning? Thank you for this video.
@jakelender90572 жыл бұрын
The head pillow is used to support your neck. A lot of people that lie on their back have their head tilted back. You want a neutral head and neck position. The pillow is used for that.
