This is probably why I believe electroswing is such an undermapped and untapped genre of music. Similar to hip hop that you’ve mentioned earlier, electroswing is a very popular genre of music that could expand the playerbase, but not many mappers are able enough to approach the swing aspects. If you express the beats as fractions, the denominator tells you what group of strength the beat is in, and the numerator tells you exactly how strong it is, ex: 4/4: 0/1, 1/4, 1/2 (2/4), 3/4. 1 4 2 4 Beat 2 and 4 are the weakest beats, beat 4 is just barley stronger than beat 2, Beat 3 is slightly stronger, and beat 1 is the strongest. 3/4: 0/1 1/3 2/3 1 3 3 Beat 1 is strongest and beat 3 is stronger than beat 2. 8/4: 0/1 1/8 1/4 3/8 1/2 5/8 3/4 7/8 1 8 4 8 2 8 4 8 You get the pattern.
