OU did this to Trips with a Flare instead of a toss, Mayfield had good runs in it. They were very successful with it in 20 personnel too. Thought they could have went to it more in Overtimes

Love your chalk talks. You have a gift for it. Is there any game film of your team? I'd love to see how they respond to such detailed instruction.

Im working on posting game film after the season. We are 5-1 and responding well, last year 1-9 not so well.

Coach great video .. I’ve watched several of your videos and I’ve seen you work a lot of different plays and scheme ... I’m wondering how do you teach all of these things to your offense.. how is your system set up do you use and numbering system or a lot of tags ... can you do a video for setting up a offensive play calling system.. I’m a second year coordinator and I’m trying to get better I appreciate it your videos !!

Great video coach. Do you think the old Dart play will be making a comeback since defenses are keying guards so much?
@CoachMac7 жыл бұрын
We will be adding it as misdirection since i can base block the frontside.
@CoachMcKie7 жыл бұрын
I like that. I've been looking into the dart play. Rewatching old Baylor film made me fall in love with the play. Of course, you've got to have some guys at tackle to run it.
@coachray60197 жыл бұрын
The Dart play would be a great adjustment backside for spill teams.
@coachray60197 жыл бұрын
Nothing new to teach your backside tackle that's wrapping and your playside tackle will keep that playside DE from spilling!

Why not use the GT scheme to the front side if you like to conflict at the point of attack. It’s the same basic scheme as power just get an extra blocker at the point of attack. If the end starts to widen run you got the guard coming to kick him and the tackle leading thru. If he closes give.
@CoachMac6 жыл бұрын
You certainly could no question, but it essentially becomes the same scheme as power read frontside. What might be better is if the end widens have G and T turn up and fold and get an extra lead blocker.

We added GT to our scheme towards the end of the season - because of what you stated here- sniffer was a tendency for us
@CoachMcKie7 жыл бұрын
How did it work?
@gavinwebster55207 жыл бұрын
Coach McKie worked well - we didn’t read it just let sniffer block the edge - may try that this year - also it helped us when we went 2x2 gave us another run with TB or Qb off of jet
@CoachMcKie7 жыл бұрын
Nice coach. I've been thinking about adding that as well.

Coach McKie do u run much 2 back power with sniffer from gun- or r u just mostly 1 back power
@CoachMcKie7 жыл бұрын
Mostly one back. But this upcoming year I will be more 2 back. That's why I'm researching everything I can on the play and personell. Coach's KZbin channel is helping me big time.

Coach what is your thoughts on strength and conditioning for your guys? How do you handle this with in your program?
@coachray60197 жыл бұрын
Great video! You would know ahead through film watching if the team that you're playing is a spill team. Then prepare your kids in practice for the spill. Like coach Mckie said, if you can't log the backside DE, then run dart instead.
