Today's episode contained such beautiful moments; true, they still have not kissed, but there is beauty in the hugs they share, in the looks they exchange, in the words the speak- because they are delivered with such truthfullness and honesty. Geez, this is so beautiful. Can you all see what they are doing?! They are setting it up for good ol' fashioned courtship. Natalia loves Olivia so much, that she wants to take it slow and do things right with her. If you look at both of their pasts, Natalia and Olivia have both moved too quickly. They are experiencing the beauty and wonder of real love together, slowly and steadily. The kind of love that will last a lifetime. Good things come to those that wait. :D

You know, we always make such a huge deal out of the big moments (GoL etc.) that i sometimes forget the other times that are so powerful. At the end of this clip, the way the two of them look at and speak to each other is incredible. And i don't think Olivia is tearing because she's sad at the end, i think she's so happy because Nat says she wants to do it right, when most of the people she's been in relationships with before just want to jump in the sack. Amazing work from CC and JL!

Oh wow, what a great episode! Natalia held strong and clear with Father Ray. I was so proud of her! I thinks as some have commented that she has reached complete peace between her faith and her love for Olivia. I love how GL is dealing head on with the religion dimesion. On a second note about the move, it's not about her not wanting to. I think she is just very serious about, as she used to say, the 'holy union between 2 people' (sex,marriage) it's sacred 2 her n not 2 b rushed.

Oh boy!! The apprehension from Livia as soon as Nat says she talked to Father Ray, you could almost see her holding her breath. the last sip of water, and then watch her close her eyes as she sets the bottle down. She is bracing herself for dimples to tell her that after talking to him, there couldn't be any hope for them. Then you can see the relief in an instant when that's not what Nat is telling her. DAMN!!!! CC is the best actress in daytime PERIOD

wow that was powerful. I wish I knew about this catechism when I was coming out and Catholic 16 years ago. It would have helped with the the people who challenged/questioned my "choices". I also wish I knew the verse that Natalia told Father Ray. That would have shut them up for sure.

The ending was a heartbreaker. I was ready to cry along with Olivia. You know, that last scene would have been a perfect moment for the old/past Olivia to come out. I know that shes changed and all but I think she should have said, This is bullshit. If youre going to put Father Rays opinion above us, then you might as well marry him! Then stormed off back to the Beacon or something. But alas, Olivia is a new woman GAH! what is she going to do?

for some reason all my comments wouldn't post about this ep, but to finish my point ( go back a little to see the rest). that sound u hear, my friends, is all the tiny pieces of livi's heart crashing to the floor. biting her lip and tearing up, was just incredible. in this scene, she goes from complete fear, then she literally breathes a sigh of relief, to heartbreaking disappointment, to loving compromise--giving us most of those emotions without saying a word. Now she's clearly voicing what she wants and thinks, i.e. that it's a bit too soon instead of giving in, and she still gets the bad bill....it's crazy! It's been 2 weeks since the non-wedding of doom. She's not rushing into things again

I just assumed they could skip past the courtship (I think Olivia did too when she invited Nat into the hotel room a couple a weeks ago) and just be a couple because of all they've been through together. But they've never been through THIS together so they have to start from scratch.

I can't deny that the story is beautuful, because it is. it's the way everyone should begin a relationship. get to know the person all the way before you jump into the sack or even move in. the thing that had me thinking was what the father and Nat was saying. how do you believe some of the Word and not all. how do you say I'm going to believe this part and not that part because if I believe that part I'm not going to be able to do what I want to do. the lady at the bar told Olivis to wall away.

Ya gotta love the Catholic Church and Father Ray for telling Natalia she is wrong for loving Olivia. After all, Father Ray represents a fine upstanding organization that supported Hitler, the Spanish Inquisition, the Crusades, the persecution and jailing of Galileo, burned people at the stake who translated the bible into other languages, subjugates woman even today, and doesn't believe in birth control, among its many other good deeds.

Father Ray can say what ever he wants. Remember Natalia told him "this is not a confession". She did not ask him there and she was not confessing any sins. He asked her question and she answered. She did not have tell him a thing but she told him the truth. Not only did she tell him truth but she did not fold under pressure or let him convince her that her feelings were a sin. Do have any idea how hard that is for alot of people who have a similar upbringing like Nat's? That was a HUGE step.

Okay, Natalia was awesome and I'm so proud of her! I don't get that some people don't think Nat is committed enough. She defended her love to a Catholic priest, and I don't think she was wrong about Olivia not moving back in. Nat has always been an old fashioned gal, and she is doing the same with Olivia. Plus, Olivia has never really been romanced before either, and gotten to enjoy all "the firsts", now Otalia gets to do it together. Liv in the end got that Nat is committed to them!

Nat i think struggles mostly with her religion and is scared. Olivia is hurt i can see it in her eyes and the comments she makes. Natalia please just go for it. Part 1: If this story was 'Oliver and Natalia' (as you put it) that was told in the old soap opera formula of writing super couples, which is the formula the Olivia and Natalia story is using. Not only would you not have kiss by now but Natalia probably would have married Frank. Oliver (as you put it) would probably have been with someone else as well. And oh the angst of waiting for your couple to finally admits their feelings, to kiss, or to even be free to be together.

Nat is not backing out or down. She stood up to her priest!! That's *massive* for her. Give the gal some credit. Some can't relate to her, hell, *I* can't - but it's consistent with her character (and the pace of a soap). I love GL for acknowledging Catholic belief and yet not capitulating to it (via Nat's words). Bottom line: Fiery jump-first-ask-?s-later Liv has fallen for a cautious, old-fashioned girl. I 'm glad that GL did it this way, because it was the church that passed proposition 8 and everytime you talk about homosexuals they bring in the church. it's a good thing though, because if you keep talking about it positively you will find the truth, even if we don't like where it ends up. holla at your girl!!

Part 2: There would be plenty of near misses, plenty angst, and obstacles galore. The passion would be in longing looks, brief touches, fights, misunderstandings and laughs when you could get them. They would have grown stronger and closer though all the trials and tribulations, so when they finally kissed it was mind blowing. And this could take a good year or more to happen. But it would be worth wait. And even after they kiss them making love may take another year.

Natalia was amazing in this episode. She stood up her priest and said god is love so my love for Olivia is not a sin. That shows she is becoming more comfortable. I think that Natalia will say very soon the thing she is nervous about is sex. She may be afraid that she will not be enough for Olivia in the bedroom. As far as kissing goes it is coming one step at a time. They are getting closer.

I think it's too soon for Liv & Emma to move back in. I believe Natalia when she says it would be the same w/anyone else, not just Liv. Slow works for some people. They're getting there, but the comfort level isn't there yet, and it does mean so much more now. IMO, they don't need to create added pressure. And good things come to those who wait! We got to know each other & dated for over a year before we got really serious, and when we finally got together, well, that was 15 yrs ago.

Natalia did not put Father Ray's opinion above her love for Olivia. She told him with strength and conviction that she loved Olivia and she loved GOD and that she can have both. That was HUGE step and shows that she has made peace with her love for Olivia and her faith. The moving in together needs to be slowed down and if you know anything about Nat's history with Gus (the man she waited at least 16 years of life to have) she slowed him down and made him wait until they were married.

Also, by Nat putting her love of Olivia equal to her past love of Gus, it reminds people that you can't label people. Doris asked Natalia, what she thought she was, ie "lesbian", and I got Natalia's resistance to a label being put on her, because like she said to Father Ray, she is the same person she has always been, and loving Olivia doesn't change that. Sexuality is way more fluid that society allows us, and IMPO I think Nat fell for Olivia (the person) and not the gender.

Fr. Ray was hoping Natalia had a crush on him but she's not into the older religious David Archuleta (google him and look at Ray, dead ringer.) I like the Bible fight they had. and Olivia has 'hit by a truck face' Natalia's right to want to take it slow because it is new, it is different and anyone with half a brain knows that once you say I love you. theres a whole world of hurt you're opening yourself up to. she had to know for sure that all shes sacrificing everything for one thing.

I love Natalia but I don't think it is about needing time to process, I could understand being overwhelmed with everything that has happened. But Natalia dispelled that theory on today's episode. She them alone was good, but she's scared of everything else. I personally, don't like decisions heavily influenced by fear, I can understand her fear, but I don't have to agree with it. I like that Natalia is taking them seriously, but I don't understand or like every choice she or Olivia makes.

I don't think Nat is letting other people lead her life. Yes, before Frank, and even Olivia were doing that, but not now. Natlalia has always been old fashioned, and slow moving. Nat wants to do it right, I think if it was Gus it would be the same, it isn't a "gay" thing, it's a "moral - do the right thing - according to Natalia" thing. (smirk) Nat stood up and defended her love, so she's committed to liv. This way we get to see all the great firsts! Just think more "I missed u hugs!"

For the most part everyone seems to think Natalia was right. Olivia would have different reasons, like Natalia not being ready and being afraid she might change her mind. But Natalia knows Olivia is not going to change her mind about them, so I don't really get what she's waiting for. For them to get to know each other better? For them to figure out if won't work before they get Emma's hopes up? If Olivia is pushing for sex, or even a kiss, what exactly is she nervous about?

I remember her making very similar arguments to Gus. When they started dating he immediately wanted to have sex and she was very clear that it wouldn't happen unless they were married and done the right way (she hated herself when she slept w/him that once while he was w/Harley) and made similar comments to Furtz after the FoD. She's traditional and moving in is way too soon. They should be dating, making out (a lot)n then moving in when their kids know about it n they can commit openly/fully!

I think that the comment you are referring to is: "Catholics pray to Mary much more often than to Jesus." The comment is still here, somewhere. 'More often' is not the same as 'too much'. BTW I am Catholic and I pray the Rosary every day (all four mysteries) and I don't feel that it's too much. It centers me and helps keep the stress down (a lot). And no hard feelings about the name calling. I just wanted to understand where you were coming from.

I believe that God is about caring, selflessness and LOVE. The Bible mentions 'man and woman' for the sake of procreation. The union between man and woman is worthless if solely be for sex/lust, especially resorting to abortion for 'unwanted pregnancy'. God wants every human being to be happy and honest to others and own's self, and that includes our feelings. God hates hipocrisy (like those of Scribes and Pharisees).

loss of parishioners. If the church really focused on biblical teachings, Love, not judgment, would be its focus. And discussing just how the action of loving could make the world a better place, rather than condemning people left and right.
