Again, Thank You!!! I know what you mean, some people are thinking poor Olivia, but... "You're going to hell Mom." comment was pretty darn brutal. Poor Natalia. And again, awesome that Olivia so loves Nat, but she could have put her insecurities away for an afternoon and made it all about the fact that Natalia may have lost her son for their love. If anyone should have gotten a hug it was Nat, and I think any relationship talk should not have come up so soon. But Liv is so in love.

That was very cool of Doris to help Rafe find a job. On another note, I felt terrible for Otalia today. The sad look in Liv's eyes at the end was heartbreaking and Natalia dealing with Rafe's reaction (which I feel was spot on) Everybody needs hugs all around.

I don't think Olivia should have asked that question.. She just needed to be there for Nat to comfort her.. She knows how Nat feels about her after all that love talk on the porch. She should have just been there and held her and told her everything was going to be OK. Sigh.. I love these two.

EXACTLY! This was about Nat's ordeal today, she's the one who needed comfort. And not only today, but she's the one who has gotten the short end of the stick when it comes to reactions (Furtz, Buzz, Doris, Blake, FRay, Rafe), whereas Liv has had pretty much smooth sailing with the ones she's told, yet on top on that Nat has to 'reassure Liv' a million times, and on top of that comfort her when it's her son that just blew up? people are getting crazy...I need a triple tequila, please! LOL

I rewatched this scene and I had no idea that Doris Wolfe was responsible for Rafe getting the Hardware Job. Don't you notice that Olivia & Doris did more for Rafe than any so called Straight Person. The Prison Switch, The Job, The Halfway Houses, etc. Although as Rafe you loved to "Hate" him but give EJ Bonilla his props, he's a fantastic actor.

I think Rafe will come around and after some soul-searching and seeing how much his mother and Olivia love eachother, he will accept them. On more than one occasion, Rafe has said that all the matters to him is that his mother is happy. I think he will come to this realization before GL ends. I also believe that Natalia and Olivia's love is strong enough for them to stay together, I really do. Can't wait 'til Jessica comes back so we can see how it all plays out.

dead on. i loved nat's defence of their relationship, you're right that she didn't back down at all. and like she said, she didn't get to say all that she wanted to say. i wonder if nat recognizes that in a very real sense she has raised a bigot. good point about her standing by him at his worst. apparently loving someone the church disapproves of is worse shooting someone.

How hearbreaking to think you've lost your own kid. That would shake anyone's foundation. And Nat *lived* for that kid. And still she looked him in the eye and said she didn't want to give Liv up. No matter what angsty obstacle they stick in front of them in the next few weeks remember that telling moment. And it will always come back to that. JL and EJB rocked the house today. Oh, and I see Liv didn't take Doris' advice to stay away. Heh. But the subtext: Folding the cloth=still a team.

Nobra, I agree, they stopped the forward progression, but I do not think they went backwards. "What does this mean for us," could be answered "maybe it means nothing for us," "maybe WE have to figure out how to bring our family together" or "I can't handle us right now, because I have a problem I have to figure out first." Natalia has never run from the fact that her end game is Otalia, however life is complicated and obstacles can be opportunities to build a better relationship together.

She never wanted him to find out that way, she's probably also a little embarrassed. But Nat LOVES her some OLIVIA she "needs" her. She has defended her love for Olivia to anyone that questions it. Nat's not going anywhere, and she's not going to let Olivia go anywhere either. I believe in Otalia, It's too powerful to end! Fictional or not there are now a million hearts involved in this love story which makes it "REAL". Our hearts will not be broken!

I was talking about his reaction @ 0:35. Rafe isn't a child. He's 19 and Natalia's life shouldn't completely revolve around him anymore. Yeah, she should support and help him but at this stage she should be able to make some choices that don't involve keeping Rafe happy. Plus, I'd rather see her smiling (dimples!) than sad any day.

Completely agree. It seems that whatever happens, people go: oh liv is getting hurt,, etc. This is story about two people and the one that had her world blown up in her face today was Nat. Nat was the one needing a hug, Nat was the one needing comfort. it was about her and her son, and Liv goes and makes it about them (yes, it is in some way, but seriously, not the time 4 that question). I love them both but I really don't get how sometimes it's so one sided in the comments with 'poor liv'.

She fought for Olivia today with Rafe. Nat has fought for her a few times with Father Ray, and dumped Frank. And yeah, Olivia looked heartbroken, and I so felt for her, but I think that sometimes because Nat doesn't show her emotions so obviously as Olivia does that we assume that Nat isn't as heartbroken too. Nat was in shock, this is the biggest fight she's ever had with her son, and he may full on reject her. This is on her mind, and then what this will mean for her and Olivia.

Thank you! I feel like I have watched a different episode today, than a lot of other people. Super sad for Otalia, but I did not see Nat waver once, she was just honest with Olivia. Nat has just had the worst fight of her life with her son. And yeah Rafe is an ass for lots of reasons, but he is reacting the way Nat raised him. He's catholic, and he didn't see the amazing love story of Otalia. It doesn't make him right though, because Nat never abandoned him, and he so owes her the same

i think the difference in reaction has something to do with the perception everyone has of both. Just as Frank is a good man, Nat is sweet and kind while Olivia is a bit more feisty. Perhaps everyone would expect it more of Olivia than Nat.
