Cant think of any other phone that can use an ND filter and long exposure? The manual mode on pretty much any android phone does that. Just get a good ND filter and make sure its designed for flat lenses and tape it to the back of your phone.

Any phone can do that, no matter if it has 1st party manual mode or not as you can easily download it. The most essential part to make this shot is that ND filter. Without it your picture would be overexposed, due to the long exposure.

I have the Huawei P30, it has this long exposure mode natively in the camera app. The cool thing tho, is the fact that you can use it handheld and without any ND filter and still generates the effect. Hey dude, really appreciate your content as I use my Galaxy for filming. That being said, I recently upgraded from an s21 ultra to a s23 ultra. For the most part I used Moment Cell Lenses and filters. However, after emailing back and forth with them, they have decided to only make iPhone upgrades and render all of my Lenses useless. I know the few other reliable companies but the main set back is they have plenty of filters but only anamorphic lenses. The 58mm lense from Moment with an ND Filter really makes quality video. Would you consider doing a video on the diffrent products and their differences? Thanks

I HATE how everything is catered to IPhone. They act like it's the only phone and best phone on the market. Samsung, the Sony xperia, Google pixel, xiaomi need some respect too. The Xiaomi 13 pro photography kit is probably the best mobile kit you can get, something that should motivate other companies to do the same. I had the s21 ultra with the moment case and lenses, but now I can't use the lenses on my s23u. I'll have to resort to filters. I did come across the prism lense filter adapter which might help me utilize various filters regardless of brand

My 4 year phone Asus 6Z can easily do that with the manual settings. Important thing most people doesn't use or even know how to properly use the manual settings. I love to use such manual mode/settings in my camera and phone as well.

When I'm ready to do all this, I'll use my camera! Phone photography is a whole different thing. It's about capturing as much as possible in one click, with no tripod. Dynamic range, low light hand held etc Image stabilization and 'post' features play a huge role in this. I use a Pixel 6 Pro. While the image quality looks awful on a pro monitor, it does all this and more and looks fine on the phone. I dislike Apple but the iPhone's image quality is way superior. (after editing) Today I would go for Vivo, Honor or Oppo anyday...

well, you can do it on any phone where you can manually preset exposure and iso, and by using nd filter. Moreover, you can do it on the majority of middle-range phones with "pro" in the name, like 4-year-old 400 USD Xiaomi Mi 10 T pro, etc... To be fair you cannot do it without nd filter on other phones, but according to some comments, Samsung implemented this option in SW through recent updates. Meanwhile, nice shot.:)

photographer here, been doing this on samsung phones for so long I cant even remember what model I started on. The downside is the longest you can go is 30 seconds, which I totally understand, but I casually shoot with the shutter open for 3-5 minutes in broad daylight with my cameras for a certain effect and I really wish I had a mobile solution for that.

If we talk about the image quality of the S23 Ultra's camera, I firmly believe (after side-by-side comparison) that the older Huawei P40 Pro Plus beats it. Huawei has less noise and a lot more control inside the native camera app.
