I no!!! So sad it's gone now. There still elevonic 401 just all of the COPs were replaced on the inside have been replaced and the cabs have been completely redone. The call stations and lanterns on the outside are still except for on the lobby level where they have been replaced by Schindler.

The glass ones were the first two in the elevator bank at the taj, as the hard rock they are no longer glass but that shaft is still glass

I heard about one of Trump's casinos in Atlantic City being demolished, so I came back to this video. This building wasn't the one that was demolished; it is actually still open as the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino (it changed names and reopened in 2018). The building that was demolished was Trump Plaza, which closed in 2014.

That is correct, the Trump Taj Mahal closed in 2016 and the liquidation sales started sometime in early-mid 207 and ran until fall 2017. The Hard Rock opened in June 2018, and I went to it about a month after opening. At the time, Schindler was still in the process of modding these, and Will (AmericanElevators) and I were both able to get an Elevonic panel from a Schindler tech!

Fun fact I never mentioned, there is more then these in the Taj Tower. On the 49th Floor there is a elevator that runs between 49 and 51. It was out of service last time I visited it but its there

It actually runs through several more floors than that. I’ve seen doors for it on 27 and I believe on the 14th. Which is weird because on the 20 something floor there’s a closet there so there must be two elevators in that shaft or something? And yes, I’m pretty sure they’re definitely not working anymore.

We went on a Tuesday and there was no line to get in at all. American Elevators went at a different time and he said there was a somewhat long line to get in. The sales started in early July and they are probably lasting a few more weeks. The hotel will than be converted into a Hard Rock Hotel which is set to open summer 2018. We have no idea whether these will stay original or get modded but I would be very disappointed if they were modded and I never filmed them so I went here. It'd be cool if you filmed here but I know your from Pittsburgh and it's like 6 hours away.

I was very close to riding these when I came here august 2016 but security was right in front of the elevators so I couldn't. Hope they don't get modded because I never have ridden a elevonic 401

Hey, nice video! I’m so happy that you and American elevators got panels from here. I’ve reached out multiple times about getting call stations from the current modernization and all that led me to his empty promises. Do you think you’ll ever go back to Atlantic City? And yes, I am aware that I’ve commented on this video before Lol.

I might go to Atlantic City sometime this summer. I could imagine a large establishment like Hard Rock being near impossible to reach for a request like this. When I got the panels an Otis tech gave to them us, so I was lucky enough to avoid having to reach out to anyone. They happened to have two Elevonic panels that had likely very recently been taken out of the cars sitting in a hotel room which Schindler was using for storage at the time of the mod. If I remember correctly, we didn’t even intentionally approach a tech to ask about panels it came up in small talk lol!

@@Mattyice-zg8om Wow, if that’s not lucky I don’t know what is. I actually emailed Schindler directly. The company responsible for the modernization. Both times they said they would be happy to give me parts and ask for my address. Both times I gave them my address and that was in December and again in February. Still nothing on my doorstep so I don’t know… But we can still be hopeful I guess.

Very Nice AWESOME Elevators!!!!!! If these stay original, I'm definitely riding these if I EVER come to Atlantic City!!!! I hope they don't even THINK about modernizing these!!!!! Though I am glad that mans' name is being taken off of these beautiful hotels....

Epic elevators! Wish I could ride these 1 day! Too bad the sale only lasts for about 2 months, & who knows when it started. Did you have to wait in a really long line to get in? Or did you find a different way to get in/was it not busy?
