I relate to Otis so much. Being a gentleman to girls, but too shy to make first moves. Liking girls that maybe doesn't like you back the same way. But I am optimistic about the future Edit on the 8th of February 2021: I have always aimed high. I have almost always aimed for girls that are a bit out of my league. I am turning 19 this year btw. Anyways, I don't try to go for girls that seem to be the sorority type of girls, because they party a lot and they just don't hang around with people that I connect with. I want to find a girl that I find beautiful (face, body etc.), but if the girl has a personality and is intellectual then I can tone down on the beauty rate. I might sound a bit shallow when it comes to looks. But this is just something that I have lived by my whole life. I find it difficult to imagine myself in a relationship with a girl that is outside of my preference. In my case, and this may sound VERY shallow and mean, I don't find bigger girls attractive. I can find them beautiful. I can see that they have a beautiful face (like Adele) and often they have a very big personality which makes them very likeable. To be clear, I don't find them ugly but I don't get attracted to them. And this probably has to do with that I am a skinny guy. Also, it's not only bigger girls that are outside of my preference. I think that I am a decent looking guy so I haven't "settled" for girls outside of my preference. To be honest I don't know why I am being this honest on the internet. I just feel like this comment section is very heartfelt and open for life stories to be told about love. I just want to find a beautiful girl with a personality that makes it spark between us. Basically what every straight guy wants.

This scene is so incredible when you see Maeve's face and you can see her breathing is accelerated finding out that Otis loves her. It's subtle but it's so real when you have those feelings and you can't control the way your heart feels. Otis is so authentic in helping Liam in this scene that he didn't notice Maeve was staring at him adds a really nice emotional touch to this scene too. For everyone who's been in Otis' shoes and felt that pain of liking someone who didn't like you back, or you thought that, this scene cuts deep. I think that the love we all deserve is when we can be our authentic selves and someone else sees that it's not about drawing attention, it's not for show, it's simply about being our truest self. I hope that this show leads to showing that this whole idea of sex isn't the end goal, but about love that's built through being vulnerable enough to show who we truly are to another person and they choose to love you back.

To feel or to not feel is what most people probably got from this scene. But until you’ve actually lived in that moment, until you’ve actually felt what Otis felt when delivering that speech. Then I don’t think you know how it is to feel about somebody in that way. To wake up and immediately check your phone for messages from them or to send them a quick good morning text. To wake up and feel like everything is going right in the world because you’ve finally met your matchmaker. It’s heartbreaking to realise that most relationships are built on a timer, just like a bomb. Tick tick ticking till the explosion of emotional romance just can’t withstand the pressure anymore. And to be a person who has been in a situation like Otis, its devastating to say the least.
