never heard of backing off the outer fitting on the hose after bottoming out to the hose, it is supposed to fit on the bottom at the hose edge

You gotta remember if you blow the right steer you’ll likely take out the filter. Remember after a blow out you’ll have to slow down very slowly whack and all you oil will be pumping out

If you blow a steer tire, the last thing you are worrying about is the oil filter!

when your engine was rebuilt , was she burning oil the first couple of thousand miles?? i hear some of them tske a while to break in??

Tbh I don’t notice any difference, I lost 2/3 psi due to port I used to feed the filter that’s all. No gain in psi as I thought I’d get with more oil and higher filtration on older oil

No I just use delvac and 15k intervals
