Man I’m glad there’s a pro out there that’s keeps line size simple. I get so frustrated hearing some pros talking about changing line size just because they went up a hook size on something or because the color of the skirt on a spinner bait lol

How time has changed in fishing. When I was fishing in my teenage yrs. I never used a leader line on my mono line and that was it.. hook line and sinker, all I needed. you go man/nice vid's. info that works.

*I was pleased with Trilene mono line **enjoyable.fishing** recommend performance (25 lb. test) because it offers smooth casting with no tangles/bird's nest in the spool. And, knots can be tied effectively with ease. I would recommend.*

Great video, I have a Shimano MGL 151 and a savage gear baitcaster crankbait 5-20 grams, can I use fluorocarbon 8 pounds test? What is the risk of backlash, currently I have Brad 20 pounds, however the microsuede’s of my rod creates an issue with the leader, time to time the FG knot hit the guides. Thanks

Perhaps you can answer this for me. What is the best way to cast florocarbon line? I almost always get a backlash with florocarbon. I can cast braid or monofilament without many problems. Florocarbon is not my friend.

Guys I’m such a Sunday fisherman that I’m wondering what’s the hurt, if I like to use braid to fluorocarbon leader on all my baitcasters for almost all my applications. I have 4 rods, three baitcasters, all Shimano ranging from 6.4 to 8.2 speeds. I’m just trying to understand how line sizes and choices help me.

Great help Ott good luck this week I got a quick question I have a Z20 and the water stain around the Jack plate and motor what do you use to clean that area I know you pros have a trick to get it clean , scrubbing with a brush is well to slow for me?

Ott, why floro and not mono? I’m sure everyone knows this answer but me

Flouro sinks faster and offers less visibility in the water Mono floats -good for top water and suspending baits

Leake is correct, but also fluorocarbon offers better resistance to abrasion, so it doesn't fray as easy around cover.

Lower stretch is biggest thing. Supposed to be more invisible, maybe it is. Also more dense which makes it more abrasion resistant.
