A Tale of Two Dock Owners

Jennie and I went fishing on a Bass Pro Tour off day while we were in Sturgeon Bay WI. We had different experiences with the dock owners at a small lake, to put it mildly. Some people just wake up in a bad mood I guess. We did our best to keep our composure and not react with words that wouldn’t show our best side. We are all created in God’s image and everyone is human. We just need to love our neighbor the way God does!

Such a shame that the dock owners didn’t recognize that two of Gods children were enjoying a day of fishing; could have even wish blessings upon them, before trolling towards another spot. Some ppl will completely miss the blessings God has given them because they want to take someone else’s joy to get it. Throughout my life, I was quick to retaliate against any disrespect, considering it a victory. I held a "No one is going to disrespect me" attitude until my wife taught me that my peace is far more valuable and that they're simply projecting their own struggles. Everyone listen if you ever buy a lake house on a public body of water please realize before you do so that you do NOT own a single drop of water that is connected to the lake whether it’s under your dock or on your homemade ramp it doesn’t matter, if it’s water that is apart of that lake it is the public’s water aka fishermen and guess what even pleasure boaters can come and anchor down 10 yards from your dock if they choose to do so it’s not your water
