In my opinion, Otter makes some of the best portable fish houses on the market. Their two largest ones are the Lodge and Resort. I compare the two side by side to give you a better idea which one is right for you.

Thanks, you have the most informative videos. No stupid jokes or unnecessary rambling and nothing about the title.

Both looks great, I’m just trying to decide which one I’m gonna buy for when I do ice fishing here in my area. Yeah those ramps make the job lot easier. Is great to see you back My Man! As always awesome video!

Hello Fernando! You just tell me when your canal freezes over and I will come down there with my shack and we'll do some ice fishing. Something tells me I may be waiting a loooong time.

Great review, I did the same loading with my x-over lodge, lol. I use a ramp and have very little issues loading myself. Thanks for sharing

Thanks. The loading ramps are a game changer. I'm able to load it by myself fairly easily doing it that way.

Is the smallest size known as the Outhouse? lol. Welcome back, bud. Having a built in sled is awesome. Not having ever ice fished, I would instinctively think that outside cost and weight, larger is the way to go. They were crazy easy to collapse. Bit of a workout to load it up without ramps.

Haha... I'm sure any of them could be used as an outhouse, so they went with a different name. Although I have seen ones that are actual portable outhouses at some campgrounds. I'm usually a "bigger is better" kind of guy, but many people like to ice fish by themselves, and these would be a little overkill. Its good to be back. I'm feeling all refreshed and ready to start editing again.

That new one looks really nice and I was wndering how you were going to get them in the truck also I was wondering about the hat I want one but in coyote fur instead good to see you back!

Oh man, my new hat is awesome! It is so incredibly warm and comfortable. I should have gotten one a long time ago. Beaver fur is naturally water repellant too being a water animal. I know they make hats out of many types of fur. I'd be curious to see how coyote would feel.

If I go with the resort, no one will go along. If i buy smaller shack everyone will want to go. So I'm getting the resort. Looks easy enough to put up and tear down by myself and I'm hauling it around with a little 4X8 trailer. Watching you break it down easily made my mind up to go with the biggest one. Love all the room.

I love having the extra room. As long as you have a trailer and an easy way to pull it on the lake, then go for it. If you need to pull it by foot, then I would recommend the smaller one.

I like the way they are easily deployed and folded.....I could tow either behind my skinny boat and camp on an island.....Something to think about!!😎👀

Now you got me wondering if they will float on water? The sled is the size of a small boat. I may have to remove some of my heavy gear though.

Thanks for sharing. Great information I have a smaller size with a floor in it I like the flip over with more options for fishing 🎣. Also thinking 🤔 about a flasher any suggestions? Thanks From Wisconsin PS Good luck on your fishing 🎣 trip

Hi Robert. I like to use my Huminbird off my boat. They make kits that you can attach your summer fish finder to so you can use it ice fishing. If you don't already have a fish finder, Reggie bought a small relatively cheap garmin that he mounted to a ammo box that holds the battery and transducer. Its very portable and works good. I enjoy having a screen that shows the history. The old timers still seem to like their vexilars, which is just a flasher. I tend to watch my underwater camera and only use the fish finder to see how far down my lure is. Even the cheap ones these days are pretty good, so it really comes down to personal preference.

Just did a trip to Rhinelander and fished 4 lakes. It was very slow. We saw some on camera, but they weren't in the mood.
