Otter love? Get a room? We're continuing our Canada road trip up as far as you can drive in Manitoba and into Saskatchewan. Today we'll go from Thompson to Lynn Lake Manitoba where we will get a room!

You know how to tell if a place has too cold of a climate to live in? When there are outlets in the parking lot for people to plug in engine block heaters! I formulated that rule to live by back in the 80s when I was considering moving to Minneapolis! I moved to Los Angeles instead lol 😂

Ah yes, plugging in your engine block heater. I used to have to do that in the Moorhead area when I went to college. You really were quite a ways north of the border. The area is beautiful. It was great seeing a bit more of the journey north! I always find it interesting what people from other places notice about Canada - the plug ins are definitely a common sight when it can reach -30C or lower, and a must to ensure your vehicle starts in the morning. Your brother got some great photos of the loon and loved the peeping deer watching the otters. Too funny! Have a great day!

We're going past Pickle Lake (been there before) because the road goes on again for several hundred km. It didn't back then, but I love going to the ends of the roads. Should be beautiful! ahhhh - I wish for the 60’s right about now. The electrical outlets for each parking space amazed me when I visited U of M ages ago. I have never lived anywhere where is snows and is that cold. Different life for sure.

Wow those otters have no shame lol. It really is a pretty lake, river or lagoon or whatever it is lol. I love how much Kathy loves the beautiful lake. Very nice pics. Your brother has an awesome lens! Lynn Lake is a tiny little town. But nice there is an inn. Hmmm. I don't generally refer to any place as a village unless that place specifically says they are. I tend to just use town or city. I keep it simple lol.
