AVP talks about technology changing but Paul Brown was the tech guru, he introduced the helmet microphone.

I wish I could have seen Otto truly play. I have read, and watched so much on him. He is honestly my favorite player of all time, and I believe is the best QB of all time. I dont think Brady would have held up at all in that time, but to be fair perhaps the game is too advanced for what otto could handle today, but man. He is by far my favorite player to ever sling a ball.

Too advanced? Remember, you are talking about the player who created the prototype for the modern T-formation QB position. Football is not brain surgery & little new as been added to offense during the past 60 years. Graham's combination of passing, play making & winning, all at the highest level has yet to be matched, let alone surpassed.

It never ceases to blow my mind that people who regard themselves as knowledgeable about the NFL don't know Otto. Or, for that matter, Baugh, Luckman, Starr, and Unitas. But they'll inaugurate Brady as the GOAT without the requisite information on the prior GOATs. Without that data, you can't actually make the judgment. And I believe Graham and Unitas are the actual GOATs.

It's not brain surgery. I know these coaches want to get credit for being creative but there's only so much that can change anymore if truly anything. Paul Brown created the modern game of football 70 years ago and basically has just been copied ever since. Graham created the proto-type for the modern T-formation QB & has never been matched let alone topped. Graham could & did do everything at the position. He was a great passer, ball-carrier/play maker, leader & winner all at the highest level. No other QB has ever performed consistently on that level in all aspects of QB play.

Otto beat Paul Brown twice when he was at Northwestern and Brown coached Ohio State. Brown remembered and drafted him in the first round.

I was utterly *blown away* when I first saw Automatic Otto's highlights. Ahead of his time is putting it mildly. It was like he was transported back in a time machine.

I wonder if Alex Van Pelt gets enough credit for Baker's improvement. Kevin did a great job and part of it was building a great staff.
