The price in Beijing and Shanghai is more expensive than in other places in China. Different coffee brand has products with different prices here, but I will recommend Luckin Coffee which is good value for money. And coffee in Starbucks is overprice.

Subscribed, Good content. I have been to some Chinese cities, like ShenZhen, HongKong, ShangHai, ChongQing, BeiJing. ShenZhen is my favorite city amoung all those cities, it's so clean and advanced in technology. Shanghai and HongKong are also world-class cities. Chongqing is vibrant, Beijing is my least favorite but it is still worth exploring as there are a lot of historical sites there.

Like you, Beijing is my least favorite. It is too rough, run-down, lacks urban details and texture, and has poor hygiene. Beijing is not representative of Han culture. In fact, it has more Soviet, Manchu and Mongolian feelings and a serious political atmosphere. Other cities in China are much better than Beijing.

you need to take care of the running eara of the shared bikes. normally city centre is fine. riding with long journey, better check map, when you unlock the bike, just zoom out only the blue area is ok. if you lock out of the running eara, they might charge 20~50rmb for collecting the bike.

I’m a Chinese and I got my bachelor’s degree in Vancouver Canada. For many times I was trying to figure out which lane should I ride the bike. I am so used to that China has bike lanes in every city. It was not until I drove a car in Vancouver that I found out bikes and cars share the same lane. It was kinda dangerous to me.
