Nico only played the 1st half in the UTC game. He only played midway through the 2nd quarter in the Kent State game. This is why Tennessee has really low passing yard numbers.

Yep. Bc this is a playoff era. You must save your starters early in the season if you're a smart coach. UT is on the right track with how they're reserving their players. The season doesn't start until the last few games for elite SEC teams. Vols fans are not used to looking at it that way. Vols fans prob think GA struggled against UK. Not the Case at all. Yes, they may have almost allowed it to get away from them, but it's a strategy. Bama and UGA don't put all their eggs in the first 5 games. This is a luxury elite teams have and Vols are just now getting there.

OU is the most decorated team in the SEC except for Alabama. OU deserves to be in the SEC or any other conference they want. They don't need to beat Tennessee to justify being in the SEC. More than likely OU will loose this game, they still belong.

It's not going to be about OU's defense trying to stop Tennessee's offense. It's not going to happen. The real story will end up being Oklahoma's offense trying to get into the end zone against Tennessee's defense because nobody has yet

Nico is not Tennessee’s strength. Tim Banks’ defense is the strength of that team. He has shown nothing so far; base nickel and hardly any blitzes. But he loves to blitz. And James Pearce Jr has been kept on a leash for the first 3 games. I expect that Pearce will be unleashed Saturday finally. OU must double team him bc he is a monster (wide receiver fast, explosive 6’5” end), but that leaves other guys with one-on-ones. The d-line is deep, and the lb’s are underrated; Pili is smart and a thumper and Arion Carter is very fast. At least one corner is a true lockdown, and the other db’s are good. They are a true sec defense. I expect to see tons of pressure on the OU qb, and for the OU line to be tested

You think Heupel is going to have Nico dropping back often in this game? Maybe in the later stages but certainly not to start the game off..Heupel is excellent at protecting his QBs. He will call a tonne of quick early passes, dumps maybe dome short slants and of course hand offs and creative plays to Sampson out in space. Your defense will not have time yo hit Nico hadd unless you stop pur running game and turn this thing into a dog fight.
