A cut from excalibur can never be healed. Hook was legit a dead man walking. Gold just took advantage and i'm glad he's the dark one again. We clearly can't trust emma or hook or anyone else with that power. PARTICULARLY Zelena. Gold has spent 300 years as the dark one and what is the worst he has done, really? gotten snow and david together? made emma hero? worked tirelessly to get his son back after realizing his mistake? yes, he lied and cheated and manipulated many lives. regina killed an entire village, something rumple never did. zelena RAPED TWO MEN. hook, ON HIS FIRST NIGHT of knowing he was the dark one, literally brought EVERY SINGLE DARK ONE *EVER* to storybrooke. compared to all that, Gold was a saint as a dark one. if anyone can be trusted with that power, he can. all he really wanted was to relieve himself of being controlled against his will. dark one or not, *no one* deserves to be controlled like that. i mean, the guy was held in a cage by zelena and raped after losing his son. can you really blame him for wanting some freedom? and sorry, but hook hasn't really done much to redeem himself over the years either so he wasn't too much of a lost. he can't even muster up a sincere apology (prior to that crap show on s5) to belle for trying to kill her 3 times. he was literally like, 'whatever, sorry'. pfft.

@Sammy Pierce you mean at the end of season 5. Yes Rumple might have been wrong about that. Henry doesn't deserve to lose his mothers. But first all the mess that happened in season 5 was mostly entirely Emma's fault and that includes Hades going after Rumple's second child. Had she not forced them to go rescue an underserving man (Hook) they wouldn't have went to the Underworld. Had Emma told Rumple (and Henry should know too) that she had seen Neal and that he was in a better place, Rumple wouldn't have cast the spell that led to Hades learning about Belle's pregnancy. Then because of their new friend (because all of a suden all crimes are forgiven), Zelena put Belle under a sleeping curse (more precisely she took advantage of a very confused and scared pregnant woman), which means putting both her and the child in danger. Then the heroes works together to stop Rumple's evil plan to wake up innocent pregnant Belle. Rumple had so many reasons to want them dead at that point. They kept making his situation worse and kept getting in his way.

+Erica Poitras not really. at this point Gold has changed. he is a hero and he did pull Excalibur from the stone. He just...for whatever reason...did a 180 back to being evil. Regina started trying to change in season 2 and by the end of season 3 was a tentative hero. And for a good part of season 2 Henry didn't fully trust Regina. He doesn't just take an "im sorry" as proof.

Exactly. No one even thought about Emma's character. I mean what caused Emma to become dark? There are only two ways for a true hero to become the Dark One: 1. To perform vengeance against the evil ones in the name of justice. 2. To save the beloved person (son, father, lover, brother. close friend, etc.) I am no true hero, but if I was in OUAT world and was given a cursed blade I would become the Dark One only following the first path. Emma, however, took the second.

Right and wrong. The darkness takes what was already there and twists it to evil. Like the ring of power. It’s not like Dark Ones don’t do bad things if they were previously good - the darkness makes them do bad things by convincing them it’s good. We even see this exact thing happen to Emma, when the darkness convinced her to kill Merida and her family had to talk her down.

@@Raiseflag_Surrender I don't want to become a dark one at all. I wouldn't get any foolish idea that magic would solve all my problems, because it won't. Just like Merlin said in the Disney classic. A true hero doesn't always need magic to save any day. Scrooge McDuck sad he didn't need them when facing hazards in Ducktales Home Sweet Homer. Snowing has the right stuff like Mr. McDuck does. This even makes them the real saviors, with or without magic. So I rather choose the path these two go through, along with other people like Red, Mulan, Lancelot, Phillip, Aladdin and Hercules. One can be a real true hero and warrior to defeat magic opponents.

@@kamarmason8077 hey kamar, I've had this whole talk with Nicky on one of my comments, and while they certainly take a few things out of context and can be kinda rude, I can tell you for sure, it does matter that it was unconventional. Imagine if Emma had managed to put the darkness in Zelena and then kill her, sure hook is saved and both him and Emma's darkness is destroyed, but do you think any of her loved ones would want to be around her ever again after she takes zelena's life? Emma had the best of intentions, followed by some pretty bad actions, "the road to hell is paved with good intentions", and that road starts up here, and it gets worse the farther you go

Are you really going to bring the birth into this? Do you know what happens to women who give birth in prison (aka Emma)? They're not given the correct medical care. They're judged the whole time they're there. Some of them are shackled to their beds. And then at the end, they are FORCED to give up their child - for god knows how long. You don't get to bring the baby back to prison. They're told that they're losing their child forever; that the courts will NEVER give them custody, because they're scum and don't deserve to be parents. It's VERY common for mothers who give birth in prison to avoid looking at or touching their baby - because they know they will be forced to let it go, and they're trying to make it as painless as possible. Not because they don't care; because they know that if they look, they will care too much. How DARE you?

Something you gotta realize, the author Issac didn't make snow and charming do anything, he certainly made the apprentice send Lilly to our realm, but what snow and charming did to "keep" Emma pure, that was all their own doing. Sure Issac pointed towards the person who could cast the spell, but they could've just walked on by once they heard what doing it would entail. And tell me, what is it to lie? Hmm? A lie is a falsehood, something done in order to hide the truth, whether it be spinning another story or just not telling any story, especially the true story. Why didn't snow and charming tell Emma the truth as to why they wanted to investigate Ursula and cruella? Because if they did, it would lead to more questions eventually leading back to what they did. They did everything on their own when it came to Emma and putting her darkness in someone else, including lying to her. Also, while Emma certainly wasn't anymore right for lying to them as the dark one, she had her reasons too, especially when hook started dying and they just told her(mostly Regina anyway) to just let him die. And when Emma found out from hook about how he killed charming's dad, she went and told him the next day, cause she'd learned about what happens when she keeps things from her family

Also, don't spout that stupid clip of when charming captures Issac and he says he did it to them because they reminded him of his old self centered boss, when he's talking to them, he's referring to the fact that he made it so they couldn't fix their mistake by manipulating the apprentice into sending Lily to our realm. The thing Issac admits to doing to them, is taking away their chance to fix what they did to Lily and maleficent, what he did to them, was make them live with the guilt of straying down the wrong path for an instant, and keeping them feeling guilty by making it so they couldn't make up for what they did, because they couldn't bring Lily back to maleficent, because he took that choice away from them.

It wasn't by free will. When they arrested him, they revealed that he made them do it to hurt them both. Zelena pulled a stunt like that by her own free will when kidnapping Snowing's son after he was born to use for her own time spell. 2. Regina tried to murder newborn Emma just after she was born. 3. Hook left children as orphans or fatherless, just like he did to his half brother and what he did to Charming's father (a loose end and unfinished story). 4. Maleficent put a curse on King Stefan and his Queen's daughter, Aurora. And did she apologize for that? No. All proving that's what villains do. And already, Emma already almost did a stunt like that by trying to murder Robin's mother by her own free will just after she was born. Which shows you made the wrong choice thinking you'd rather be the villain. All proving they are true heroes and they are not THE FARTHEST from being heroes, and that is not what heroes do (inly when under control of an author or real villain behind the story), and that Isaac was the real villain you fool. Emma has already been blamed for her actions as you just saw, and making up excuses and lies just to justify her sins, like the real villains do. Being a dark one doesn't excuse anything. Emma committed those sins by free will, not because she was a dark one. While she did those crimes by free will, her parents were actually altered by the writing of the former author just so he can hurt them as they revealed when they arrested him. You can't argue with the proofs and real stories there. Give it up, get real, think and learn harder, and rewatch the show, starting with the clip of Isaac's confession. If you have the guts.
