I really enjoy this fragrance. Fresh woody fragrance that’s elegant. Honestly I don’t want a loud wood fragrance. It’s nice and loud enough for when you walk past or hug someone they can smell you. Which is just fine with me.

Tom Ford Oud Wood is a genuine masterpiece. I do own multiple batches and have gone through quite a bit of it. It's the only scent I own that I would consider a signature scent. I love so many frags but if I could only own 1 frag, it would be oud wood. The cardamom and wood is the show in my opinion. But its rich, sexy,smooth, alluring and masculine.

I do enjoy Oud Wood, no question about that. I do feel it's a bit overrated though. It's a very synthetic, well-blended concoction that strikes me as basic and pleasant.

What’s the difference between the 2007 and the grey package release?

honestly I haven't smelled the grey package. I hear some say no changes others minor changes. Many say mostly performance of the new ones is less. At the end of the day when things are all over the place I'm assuming the changes are minor.

I really like Oud Wood. I have a new version. I get 5-6hrs on skin, 10+hrs on clothes. It smells like pure luxury to me. I will never get tired of this scent. Oud Wood Intense does not smell the same. There is something different and I prefer regular Oud Wood. I would like to see you do Plum Japonais. This is my favorite from the house at the moment. It's addictive!

Never tried Tom Ford’s fragrances, but have been buying his sunglasses since about 2007. About the time he left Gucci and started his own brand, One question, why do fragrances change from batch to batch and gets weaker? Shouldn’t they keep it the same so they can sell for years and years? I’m older and remember in the 80s when everyone wore and bought cologne and I don’t remember back then ppl. saying the smell is different or changed. Meaning back then when you bought a popular frag, it smell like the last bottle and didn’t change from batch to batch. Maybe it’s done on purpose and a way for designer to make better and different smelling like wine from year to year. Or maybe it’s not easy to duplicate and make the same scent and will be variations in Smell and performance. Another review said this has an older Hollywood smell. If so, I thought taste had changed and many of the old classics scents are now outdated. I still like the classics and I just sold a new tester of Calvin Klein’s first cologne for $225. and it can find it on eBay, the few others are asking about $500. for a 3.4 oz. old stock bottle. So many of the vintage discontinued colognes are in demand and selling for big bucks,

So uod Wood is a scent like musk? I never heard of oud and never smelled this frag. Know Tom Ford’s style, he generally finds something not commonly done and looks for the more exotic. Like the things the rich and famous like to wear or own to separate themselves from the average Joe. Lol!

I HATE all Oud, but I love Oud Wood. Not enough to buy a full bottle but my friend sold me a 30ml decant from his huge flacon. And that’s enough for me. Very nice scent. Not for everyone

I have loved Oud Wood since i first got my nose on it, 9/10. Have you tried Oud Wood Intense Marc? This is a very dark smokey leather dominant fragrance, you would definitely love it. My top 5 Private Blends 5 Oud Wood 4 Bois Marocain 3 Tuscan Leather 2 Oud Wood Intense 1 Japon Noir

TF discontinuing Plum Japonais, Tobacco Oud, Oud Fleur and Oud Wood Intense and Tobacco Oud Intense. We are only left with the current watered down formulation of Oud Wood. The Thameen is just so much better than this current version. And that thing pushes.

I don't love it or hate it. I think it's a decent scent that's proper for dressing up. I definitely think it's overrated and overhyped, though. There are many scents out there that are better or at least as good for a lot cheaper.

Why it is so much noise in intro ? Loudness is just out of proportion... Feels like from 1970 Hollywood production,you do remember such like a crime series,where they have to repeat story after each commercial brake ( de valuating viewers to brainless monkeys ,because they don't remember what it was on a program before commercials)and doing a lot an unnecessary noises to create a dramatic experience . You do fragrance reviews,man....with a god contents -simple "PIP" more than enough for introduction...Think about it.

This is a Mehhh to me nothing special it is not an oud fragrance and it does not worth the pricetag. Smells like a creamy much waterdowned Encre noir. Save your money buy tobacco vanille or tuscan leather a million times better fragrances
