Oughtred Gannet test sail - Moreton Bay

Join us as we test sail an Oughtred Gannet around the southern islands of Moreton Bay, Queensland, Australia.
The Gannet surprised us as a reliable, quick and steady boat with excellent expedition capacity.
We also bumped into a pair of Jubilee Class racing yachts, built in 1943.

@@kidsafloatinawoodenboatsai6137 no I haven't sailed a gannet. The first boat I ever sailed was a heron, later on I sailed scow moths and 14ft skiffs and lazy E's. The gannet reminds me of the heron but of course the gannet is bigger. I'm getting older now and haven't sailed for many years but once it is in your blood it stays with you. Cheers Denis
