Because of you Mr.Chris you make me want to keep going on my journey to becoming a social worker so many KZbin videos talk about the money and how being a social worker sucks but you showed me why I should keep pursuing it and that's because of the passion and the lives we will touch along the way I pray that I can be at least half of what are to those teens you be bless sir and continue to impact lives

Social work is a magnificent field with endless possibilities i see the more i study it more, with this, there is such a demand for male social workers for the males to relate with and see as a type of father-figure. This video has really inspired me.

I wasn't a peer advisor under Doc for Peer Groups (McGuinness '10-'11), but he was nothing short of a role model for the students he worked with and I was blessed to know him. I graduated from Molloy four years ago, and now I'm going on to begin my MSW program at NYU. People like Doc are what the social work world needs; this is a sensitive field that needs the right type of individuals to create safe environments. He is definitely someone I keep in mind when thinking of the "ideal social worker" I'd like to become, not to mention his awesome office is definitely a plus! Thank you for everything you've done for me and the rest of the Molloy community, Doc. You deserve this recognition for the positivity you've brought to so many people's lives.

This is beautiful and so relevant today with all the mental health crisis around. We need more counseling, therapy and social work to be central in the school systems.

Thanks Chris, I am getting my bachelors of social work right now, and then my masters of social work and this is exactly what I want to do right now. This inspired me so much as I feel that if you can have a significant impact on a group of teenagers in need when they are vunerable at that point in their life, then they will be set for life with proper guidance. It's almost as if you are their extended family member.

Gahh this just warmed my heart so much. I'm 24 and going into my MSW program soon. These kinds of videos validate that I have the right set of goals in mind for myself. Chris is so great at his job! Those kids hold him in such high esteem and these programs are so needed for youth! :')

This is so incredible and awesome! Honestly, social workers and public health specialists are some of the smartest/ amazing people on this planet. They know what's going on in the society and how to relate with other people.

Thank you Chris Dougherty for making this video!! So many people have torn me down about becoming a social worker, but I just know helping people is what I want to do in life, what I'm built for. It's all I want to do in life. The hardest times were definitely my high school years, but my guidance counselors weren't very present and attentive like you are at Archbishop Molloy High School.I want to change that in high schools, I want to become like you! I truly believe that if you do what you love, you will never have to work another day in your life. I love LOVE helping others, and this video just lit the spark in me to keep going :) Thank you so much for that!

Do it, do it with all you got. I almost did not go into social work due to the same reason. I am following my dream and YOU should too. Follow your heart and Nothing else!

Any chance there is a closed caption version of this for deaf and hard of hearing viewers? The CC imposed on the You Tube video are not accurate or in clear English.
