I'm a Cardinals fan I think that deal would be close. That would be a big difference maker trade for the Mariners. Nick Gonzalez would be another great pickup

The yearly cycle of the 2B on a rental contract making roughly 10-12 million continues. I like Lowe but I’ve seen this song and dance before.

I mostly like it except the Cardinals one. I would rather just keep Santos and Evans and try and do more of a swap of Young + smaller prospect straight up for Donovan. I do think it could be fun to do a second one that is more realistic. Jerry is never going to trade all those prospects and he likely is going to sign at least someone from FA.

I like the Donovan trade, Gonzales trade, and Tauchman trade, but I'm kinda out on the others... almost every non-homegrown power hitter that comes to Seattle struggles. I would be expecting huge down years from Lowe and Burger if they were Mariners. Would rather focus on on-base oriented hitters and just rely on Julio, Cal, and Luke for the power

Enjoy the show and usually like your ideas, but I'm not sure this plan fixes our K rate problem at all. Donovan is better, but the rest are not. Thoughts on K rate specifically?

stanton needs to let Dipoto do his job and for ownership to open up about an extra $30 million with the availability thats there(which is around $17-$20 mil). If that were to happen, we could bring in a few decent FA's, trade a few players to acquire the rest of primary needs and go from there.

I like the KBO Kim to play 2B. Should be about half the price of Polo and he can at least play defense and run well, his bat is a bit of a gamble, but we gotta go for cheap options because of he who shall not be named...

Ha has averaged 3+ fWAR the past 3 seasons. He's probably out of Seattle's price range.

KBO Kim? He should be pretty affordable, he's worth taking a shot on, if he doesn't work out too well, then he could at least hold the position down til Young or Emerson come up, and possibly replace Dylan Moores role if we don't bring him back for 2026

I thought you overpaid just a bit on the main trades. Maybe not. I'd hate to see Santos shipped off with all of that club control. I want one more year to see if he can actually stay available.

I love the Cards deal. I feel like Cole Young will disappoint. Ryan Helsley and Donovan are huge additions on paper.
