We began our trip in Galle before driving down to Yala National Park, where we went on an unexpected safari. We then drove up to Ella, where we caught the train to Nuwara Eliya. After spending some time there, we continued north to Sigiriya, where we climbed one of the most famous rocks among travelers in the world.

@@silverback3633 yes, I remember a few foreign residents were afraid and leaving the country…though, Sri Lankans are mostly lovely people…..I also remember one person who was belittling another group of Sri Lankans…my comment to him was “i do not see a difference between you and them”….in every country there is always one group that thinks it is better than another…we are experiencing an explosion of hatred in the U.S. now…it is as though evil has found an energy source here.

Just a suggestion like the train path you took was full of mountain and greeny, Colombo to Galle railway filled with beautiful beaches and scenes. Hope you experience it too.

The landscape was beautiful. The train wasn't crowded at all, even though it's an attraction. You two had bright eyes, like little boys in front of a model train. The people seems so relaxed.

Usually From Kandy to Colombo and Colombo to Kandy train is crowded… from and to Kandy it’s not… but during ‘Sripada’ (Adam’s peak) season it’s crowded from and to Hatton But if u have a reservation no need to worry about the crowd I am from Kandy and I prefer travel by train than my own vehicle…

I'm glad you guys are having a fun time. You might be interested to know that about three weeks before you filmed this, a young French couple were hanging out the door on the same train. The train lurched. They tumbled down the canyon side. No deaths, but they were both badly injured.

Unfortunately, that French girl hit a tunnel hanging out of the train footboard, her brave boy friend jumped out of the train to save her...the guy got himself injured in the process. Both were treated at a local hospital and they left to France.. Hopefully both of them are in good stead now.

Damn wherever you got that information from, that place needs to be shut down!! Like the previous comments say, the train didn't lurch but she got hit when the train went through a narrow tunnel (actual footage was shown on Sri Lankan news). The girl was stupid to hang her whole body out of a moving vehicle. Some people will do absolutely anything for Instagram likes, so I am not surprised. No matter which country you are in, people need to have common sense when it comes to having fun. It's unfortunate that she got hurt but it was 100% her fault.

This is to those who want to have this experience: please be careful when u are at train’s footboard. The railroad through Sri Lankan hills have some narrow tunnels, bridges also some railway posts near to the tracks and other dangers… so safety first and then enjoy 😊
