Sorry for the confusing video, but my gopro kept freezing and I lost a lot of footage and fish fights. This is what I could salvage! The pesky bluefish kept wrecking our live pinfish and made it hard to get our bait down to the snook.

Here I am 2 years later and never even seen this pier to know where it's at lol but I sure wish this pier was at dauphin island alabama we had a good gulf pier but over the years it finally dried up I'd never dreamed of it getting worse but hoping it'll get expanded further out but it never happened now I'm 55 and seeing this pier brings good memories back since my childhood thank you for videoing this pier fish on brothers from dauphin island alabama

That one that went out and just ran back in wasn't a snook. That was a cubera snapper. Ive fished there since i was like 6 and a snook has never ran at me unless it was over the front by the pole. Every time my dad has hooked a cubera, they run down and then they immediately run in. Thats what got you

I only ever seem to see it on US fishing piers, with people moving up and down and almost "forcing" other fishermen to move. Here in the UK we just seem to control the catch better, as you never see us running up and down the piers.

It's OK if you lose the footage, just don't loose the fish. Stray thought - why do we still call it footage when it's MBytes? Pinfish take the dorsal off with dollar store scissors. Snook slayer. Cut one pec fin for herky jerky movement; twice the action! None better for live baiting snooks.

I can't believe you threw that small snook and your friend that huge breeder redfish back into the water from 2,3 stories up. Too lazy to lower the fish back down? Takes only 1 minute up and 1 minute down. What IF it injures/damages the fish in some way? Is it worth it? Especially the breeder size redfish. Damage an eye, internal injury, reproductive organ(s), point is it's preventable. You should handle the fish better to protect the resources to ensure a better/sustainable future. Our resources are taking a beaten as it is. Young people are watching you. Be a better example.
