🤠 HOMESTEAD: Got a hunch those neighbors and truckers going by, and the county workers, are enjoying the change of scenery your place enhances, as you continue to clean and develop. Being your that close to the road, you could construct a little honor stand , with a secured locked money box , 📦 close to your fence, if county dont holler and you make it portable, and if room, may be able to park it on the road. Neighbors built, a small 3 sided shed on a little trailer, holds about 4 coolers. Chain locked together, a chalk type board for prices, secured by cash box, with his 4 wheeler/golf cart tows it 2 miles down to the edge of a paved highway 🥦🥒🥬🍅🍎🌽🥕🌽🥔

I second the idea for using a garden fork to pop those taters out. If you hit one or two, well, that's the cost of doin' business. (especially after seeing Rachel get a chair and then have to stand up anyway!) Also, like I suggested for sifting the debris out of your soil, use a wooden frame on legs wrapped in hardware cloth to clean and dry your harvest. It will allow for good airflow! Oh, and the onions.... I've always heard that the flatter the onion, the more sweet. When you said Sweet Texan, it confirmed why they're flat! Oh YUM! Keep up the good work you Belly Acres! I really enjoy your channel.

If you use a shovel and gently push straight down under the ring of each plant and overturn the dirt, you get deeper and it won't scare your potatoes like a claw does and, far less labor on yourself. Our potatoes in Alaska like the cooler climates, grow best in the spring & fall.

That’s awesome guy’s. I was right! I had guessed there was 20 lbs of the potatoes before you even weighed them. I know it would take up a lot of your room of planting other things but just think if you had one more big bed you could use just think of all the potatoes you would get. Congrats guys! Maybe next time check around the onions to see if the soil needs loosening up around them so they could grow larger. I know of someone else that does that and also keeps the soil from around the top area.

Don't feed pigs nightshades! Please do some research on what not to feed pigs. I was shocked at all the plants fruit and veg. that are toxic to them. Sure they may eat it but that does not mean they should.
