Love your videos. Great fun. Just wanted to mention, I am in film, I direct, the girl in these videos is beautiful, obviously, but she has the x factor. She should consider acting for sure. Somewhere between Diana Rig and Ingrid Bergman, very beautiful, but the voice is really great, so is the smile and the way her face moves, how she expresses herself. Really quite extraordinary, star quality. It's rare. Love you both and love the adventure. Fair winds.

watching that sunset on the way out headed to Bermuda and just as the sun got to the horizon, i literally said to myself, "let's see if we can see the green flash." well, there was a bit of a dip in the waves and i missed it... then not even 30 seconds later, you two were talking about the green flash, too 😹 it does exist but the split second to see it is quite short... think of where the green band is on a rainbow and that's basically what you're trying to catch as the sun dips below the horizon... sail on!

I'm in the thick of it with heart problems. This week I had shock therapy to my heart to get it beating right as my heart electronics are messing up. The therapy failed leaving mr with burns on my back and chest from too many attempts. It was a nightmare and I demanded to leave the hospital and returned home to the two wolves I live with. I love sailing life so am thankful to watch yours.

It was funny... While you were showing the sunset I am thinking about the "Green Flash." And then I thought I heard you mention it but wasn't sure. So I listened even more closely because: 1. I am old at 73, 2. I am a bit hard of hearing. 3. I don't have cataracts because I have artificial lenses, and 4. I might be a little psychic, but I've never seen a "Green Flash" either!!!

Green flash: need a clear horizon , no haze or cloud. Need a sharp horizon line. Do stare at setting sun until almost set. If you’re very lucky you can see a double flash or vertical beam. Sailors claim once youve see the green flash you’ll never go wrong with an affair of the heart. Been watching for years and only seen a couple. Adam , you just have to try harder and believe.

For European car people, 1000 nautical miles is 1852 kilometers - about the drive from Amsterdam to Naples
@jpdj27153 жыл бұрын
At some point Adam mentioned 7 knots (nautical miles per hour) and this translates into 6 days for the 1,000 nm. But, car people have road works and restrictions, sailors have currents against or with them, and winds changing speed and direction. As knots are relative to water, the land speed may be less or more, depending on the current.
