About aphids: We have an organic fruit and vegetable farm in Germany and when our plants are infected with aphids, we plant all the infected plants in one place far away at the edge of the field. There, the plants serve as a natural breeding station for ladybugs and a large population of beneficial insects builds up, which then also fight smaller quantities of aphids in the normal fields.

Zone 6A Toronto, Canada What I wanted to say is my favorite part of your videos is when Eric say let's open the flower vault then seeing how much he enjoys seeing gorgeous bouquets Alex got up so early and work hard putting those bouquets together. Fantastic. I enjoy seeing your bouquets Alex. Especially enjoy tulip shows as my tulips don't bloom until May . I have an abundance for Mother's Day. nice to see your flowers when all I have is just snow on the ground. ❤

From what I’ve heard NRCS would have you address drainage issues with a funded high tunnel too. Dirt on Flowers podcast had a good series on tunnels, including considerations to make with spacing between for drainage, snow (if applicable) but also airflow and how one can slow airflow into the other if close together, lower sidewalls etc. I thought it was interesting. You all are very detailed and thoughtful so I’m sure these are considerations you have made already. Exciting to get a full on high tunnel! Woot!

Can you clarify why daffodils didn’t work for you? Was it the growing? (Maybe you lost them due to poor drainage) or was it the harvest (Did you triple rinse them to get off the exudate?)

Snapdragons can be pinched to bush out, you can try pinching fewxof the stems so you can stagger the blooming time

For your CSA will those be picked up on Saturdays as well or is pick up a different day of the week. Curious if it’s helpful to you guys to do it another time of the week or if that mages bouquet building less efficient to do it twice

It's hard to follow what you are saying.you guys talk over each other, interject and it derails the convo. the title says tips for a successful spring season and I'm really not sure what the tips were. I'm new to the channel so I'm not sure if it's always like this but if the title was chatting it up about our spring season it would make sense. Not trying to be rude but you asked what the thumbs down were for. I think for me that would be a reason. (I didn't give you a thumbs down)
