Only age (and seeing actually good movies) allowed me to recognize that those movies were bad BUT I always maintained that Garfield was MY Spider-Man (for better or for worse) and even now being older-likely because I’ve always been charitable towards those movies, I’ve been able to separate his performance from the rest of the clutter in those movies that made them as bad as they were.

Peter having his identity revealed was during civil war. The time everyone forgot was called Spider-man One More Day. And the effects weren't exactly the same. Instead of only making everyone forget he was Spider-Man, it also erased past events. It didn't keep everything the same while just making people not remember, but it erased actual character development for peter. He was poor again living with his aunt, and it erased his marriage with MJ... that's not even the worst part. It kept him the same age as when the event took place, so he was a full ass grown adult basically living with his mom. That's why everyone hates that comic.

The end credits scene of Let Their Be Carnage explains that the Venom symbiote is part of a multiversal hive-mind. And when Venom taps into the hive-mind to show Eddie that he has access to otherworldly knowledge (like the knowledge that Peter Parker is Spider-Man, which the symbiote learned in Spider-Man 3), Tom Hardy's Venom/Eddie get drawn into the MCU universe by Dr. Strange's botched spell, and then they're sent back when Dr. Strange casts the second spell, though a little piece of symbiote somehow got left behind.
@fullmoonprepping40242 жыл бұрын
This is a brilliant strategy by Kevin Fiege. This was a 3 movie origin story. Also, you NEED to see Venom Let There Be Carnage! The end crefit scene connects directly with this movie. And you should have watched it before this. Remember the rule: watch all Marvel films as tgey are released because otherwise you'll lose the timeline and some things later won't make sense.

the comic in which everybody forgets peter is Spider-Man is titled One More Day which has peter giving up his marriage with MJ in a deal with Mephisto in order to make everybody forget he's Spider-Man, this happened after Civil War and the cause for Peter to make the deal in the first place was that Tony told him he had to unmask to be a part of the registered heroes. I like that the movie starts with Peter wanting to just send everyone back (given his MCU villain history), and that it’s May who convinces him to help them. Her quote on her tombstone “when you help someone, you help everyone” and her work with FEAST sort of speak to how she tried to live her life and what morals she probably tried to raise Peter to uphold. That’s why I think she’s so adamant on telling Peter that he did the right thing before she dies. She doesn’t want her dying from their actions (cause it’s really “their” actions since May literally convinced him to/helped him help the villains) to make him not want to help everyone regardless of their past. Which they sort of summarize by using Spider-Man’s fundamental responsibility line. Like yeah, we know it’s a dumb decision to trust strangers that were obviously villains to another you, but the choices really fit with who Peter Parker classically is as a character. Excited to see what they do with him next cause they could really go anywhere

Even though I was more excited and pleasantly surprised by Tobey Maguire, Alfred Molina, and Willem Dafoe, Andrew Garfield and Jamie Foxx knocked it out of the park and I’m glad they had another chance to play the characters in a movie where the writing was more complimentary to their characters. I watched Amazing Spider-Man 2 when it came out before I watched the first one. (The trailers for the TASM1 didn’t suck me in enough to even consider watching it. It’s the only Spider-Man movie I haven’t watched in theaters) And the only redeemable qualities from that movie, for me, were their depictions of Spider-Man and Electro, other than the soundtrack. I’m ecstatic their versions of the character were done justice, and there’s even petitions for continuing Andrew Garfield and Tobey’s stories as Spider-Man? Amazing.

Well if they feel like going this route, in the Ultimate Spider-Man by Bryan Michael Bendis back in the early 2000s, Peter and Eddie were actually childhood friends who's parents worked together and died together in a plane crash. Peter in highschool meets up again with the college kid Eddie and he shows them what their fathers were working on which turned out to be a symbiote substance designed to attempt to cure cancer. Peter takes it in hopes of finishing it, uses the black suit and immediately stops using it and destroys when he literally tries to eat someone as Venom, Eddie catches him getting rid of it and tells him hes Spiderman to convince him to not use it only for Eddie to get angry and uses a backup sample he had and becomes Venom. TL:DR They could use that version of Peter and Eddie and I don't think it'd be that crazy

Aunt May's death is not Peter's fault. He is responsible for it but that's not his fault. That is literally his character in the comics. He always tries to do the right thing, no matter how stupid others might think it is. And in the end, doing the right always comes with some sacrifices. Also, let me point out that May was the one that pushed Peter to save the villains. He was all for sending them back even while knowing they would die, she is the one that said that it was his responsibility to save them. Oh and I hate how people still blame Starlord for Thanos getting the stones, people seem to forget that Quill is a human, and it is very much human to act emotionally instead of rationally when you are told that the guy in front of you killed the person that you loved. I want to see if you guys would act rationally in that situation.

BTW ur discussion about how Venom would know Spider-Man was already explained by Venom himself in his post credit scene. All symbiots like Venom shared a hive mind of knowledge so that’s how he knew him from other Venoms coming across Spider-Man in other realities. 👍🏼

There’s also a theory that the arm of doc ock that green goblin cut off is gonna be used as scorpions tail in Tom Holland’s next trilogy

They explained this in Venom 2. The symbiote's hive mentality/memory transcends universes, so when he tapped into so prove to Eddie how limited human brains are, he gleans from the symbiote in Toby's universe that Peter Parker is Spiderman. It happens pretty quickly and its in a post credit scene, so it's easy to miss

Willem Dafoe is 66. He was 47 when the first Spider-Man movie released. They definitely de-aged him.

VENOM knows who Spider-Man is. In Venom 2 he said that symbiotes share knowledge across multiverses, so Venom knows who Spidey is cause of Raimi's Spidey 3.

I'm the end credits scene thing from the second venom film, venom was explaining how the symbiotes have a kinda hive mind and that it also connected across the multiverse. Therefore, every version of venom knows Peter Parker is Spiderman because of Spiderman 3.

They gave AVI ARAD a big thank you in the credits But do you know who else deserves a big thank you? LAURA ZISKIN It was because of her and her partner (the screenwriter Alvin Sargent) that the original trilogy and TASM1 had depth Arad on the other hand just wanted to use the movies to sell toys
