I appreciate the new podcasts with all the guests, but this was the Flagrant I fell in love with. Best friends together just shitting on each other and letting the conversation go whichever way it naturally goes. There is just a different (authentic) dynamic when it's only the Flagrant squad in the building, everyone is just being themselves. So damn funny.

This podcast captures more clearly than anything I’ve heard before that feeling of an amazing festival. The camaraderie with your camp, the new connections and adventures you wander into and coming out of it feeling transformed. It’s almost spiritual, and that feeling that taking drugs can unlock is definitely real. Huxley said it best, your mind isn’t a sponge absorbing information, it’s a series of filters that substances can strip away, the doors of perception and the veil is lifted and you access deeper levels of reality and tap into new flows of energy that you previously didn’t even know existed. It’s a wonderful feeling, and this conversation really tapped into that part of how a festival can lead to those experiences.
@deepg70842 жыл бұрын
True. I only did molly once back in 2001 at a rave with a few friends. You and this podcast described my experience spot on. It felt like layers of bullshit were just stripped away. I was still just myself, but my true self down to my core without all the filters. I left my friends and explored and talked to people I never would've normally talked to. I shared a joint with a mexican cartel looking dude with tattoos all over his face. I found myself talking to a group of 5 or 6 goth dudes dressed in drag lol. Found myself in a mosh pit with the white crowd. I get what Alex means when he said he "didn't feel black" at Burning Man. That identity shit goes out the window and you just connect with people as humans. Felt like I was just hanging out with thousands of friends. I was at a low point in my life, but that experience helped me realize the only limitation in my life was myself. I figured out what was really important to me and got my life back on track after that experience. That was it. That was the first and last time, but it was life changing.

I was just talking about this the other day to someone. That life is work, bills, and responsibilities. That when we're in college (college age) we figure ways to not let life get in the way but really live. Watching the Flagarant crew just hang, laugh, and talk about their experience gives me the college hang vibes. It's awesome to see they got that experience together. You can see it on Schulz face like he knew this is going to be last real hang. Next year him and Akash will both probably have families and things will be different. I love this podcast because it literally is the best hang. Thank you for sharing these moments.

Dear Flagrant, My name is James. I am 32 years old and have been aimlessly wandering through life without any real calling or direction. I had an extremely bad year in 2020, completely unrelated to covid, and have had such a negative outlook on life since then. After watching this pod and feeling the amazing amount of energy from all your stories and experiences I finally feel something I've never felt before. The Burn is calling to me, to my soul. I know it in my heart that I belong on the Playa. Since then I've done nothing but research and plan for my first Burning Man adventure next year. I am fully aware of how miserable it can be but also how amazingly wonderful it can be as well. That very short clip of Alex dancing in his shiny dress had such an unexpected and incredible impact on me, So much positive energy and inspiration from such a simple thing as a 5 second clip. Enough even to fill my sad soul with some light and happiness. I can't thank you enough, The Flagrant Crew, for sharing your Burning Man adventure with us. If I can manage to get a ticket before they sell out, I hope to see you all out on the Playa next year!!!
