That was fun watching you decorate your tree! I live in an apartment so I have a small artificial tree, I too don’t like bare spaces on my little tree. I also like the more retro style of ornaments, probably because that’s what I grew up with, and it brings back good memories.

Your tree looks beautiful, Erin. We use baubles that my parents used when I was a child. They are now called vintage… but hold wonderful memories and its a period of nostalgia with mulled wine and uncented candles. We aim for an abstract-Picasso look, so very random! Your assistant has done a brilliant job. Baking too! You put me to shame, the cookies look delicious. Enjoy🎄❤️

Wish you were able to play music in the background but I remember you said you can’t do that but I forgot the reason. The cookies are looking so good as well. Absolutely love your decorations!! So classic and timeless, beautiful colours!! Ornaments are something that can be so personal and hold memories with them. When I travel I always try and get a new ornament for my collection, it's fun to look back and remember the fun adventures I was able to have. Attending my first European Christmas Market in Brugge was so fun this year!

I do remember last year's video when you took us along to The Christmas store I loved it because, it reminded me of a store we used to go to when I was a child in upstate New York, with all beautiful Christmas decorations. Every year our parents would go and get some, both of my parents are in Heaven now. Yayyyyy!!! 🎉🎉🎉 I was cheering at the final star going on. I like your tree style and shape and it’s big and gorgeous and I really enjoy seeing people’s ornaments. You have a really nice collection. I fully support disbursement being important lolll and color and texture etc being disbursed is key. People who go beyond that are Aka closet florists lol. I love so many tree designs. Funny thing is you are going for Norman Rockwell and I want Nordic/scandi style! Lol My tree is upright but not decorated yet. I spent a little time making cranberry walnut breads today and interspersed with making Ellie’s dog food recipe haha. I have stuff to make gingerbread people also and you and Steinar cracked me up about the cookies. I thought they came out well and need a recipe for the marzipan ones. I’ve never made them but they look amazing. I haven’t decided which cookies I want to make this year. I usually make a mega ton of different ones and box up and mail for my mom and brother and give some to my caregiver. Your assistant did a great job and clearly gets your style ideas. Tell Steinar to be nice or I’m stealing his cookies! Lol I will send pics when I’m done. My collection of ornaments are not as fancy as yours but more ecclectic and from memories of my attempt at a Nordic aka Ikea ornaments and a few other odds and ends. I wanted to do a nature themed tree and will continue collecting things like I love the felted mice and mushrooms and a few other little animals. I think I have a boy and girl little Fox and then not related I too have a nutcracker and one or two ballerinas lol and various souvenirs from travel and some not as cool ones that will be culled but kept bc they are needed for my big tree but I got a 6.5 foot tree this year so I can reach the top and not need to climb ladders when I’m alone lol. You guys all did a great job on your free and you need a little cat one for your small tree or big one. I want a small tree dir my bedroom also bc I do spend a lot more time than the past bc of pain. I have a big wax molded white tree that has a light inside and looks nice on my dresser at night. It kinda flickers too I think and has some glitter in the exterior. It’s like a really nice night light lol. I usually put my gnome guy next to it. I also have a nutcracker collection that I usually put in my front window (mainly bc I didn’t know where else to put them and used to have kids living nextdoor so would frame the window facing out front in lights and add the nutcrackers like a toy shop window idea. My house is small and very cluttery so I hate to get it all out but will do the important parts and leave the rest and keep it simple but nice. You do such a good job of making a gorgeous tasteful fun Christmas. I remember your table scape from last year was great also. You, your lovely assistant and Steinar did a great job. And I had to giggle at “he can decorate the back of the tree all he wants” made me crack up. My ex used to put some ornaments that weren’t exactly in keeping with my vision and they would go on one side facing where she sat and the ones I loved best went facing where I sat haha. And my faves like yours went front and center. I love Xmas trees and decorating them and of course love the baking as well. Cheers to a job well done! Pass me one of each cookie!

I agree with you, I also love the vintage baubles 😊 but unlike you, I have absolutely no say in the matter of decorating the christmas tree. Ever since I encouraged my little son to give it a try on his own, back when he was 6, I merely have the right to watch 😂. He does it all by himself. We always have a tree in lots of blue and turquoise, with silvery things and straw stars and angels, the odd wooden cow, a lonely lamp etc. out of a box full of second-hand deco which my sister sent us ages ago. What gets me the most is all the stuff that has to be grouped under the tree 😂: a blue glittery toy old-style telephone (!), a dozen miniature turquoise fake presents, a straw maid, a candle, you name it. When my son was younger, you could always tell on which side of the tree he had been sitting while decorating. 'Cause the other 2/3 of the tree were bare 🤣. Loved it, still do ❤. Your tree, however, is a piece of art 👍 and I remenber the nutcrackers! Say hello to your man 👋
