Z06 don’t have a heat soak problem even at 650+hp it’s the supercharged zr1 or zl1 that experience that.

My c5z had heating problems and it was an ls3 Swapped na car. A couple of other friends with c5z's and c6z's, also have experienced running really hot at the track. I'm hoping it's something I don't have to address, and so far so good, but I have a feeling once this car is on really sticky rubber and pushing hard, it might suffer the same fate as the others.

Lol, I love internet trolls. I have one of the fastest times ever recorded at this track and placed 1st 3 years in a row with our local club and was named driver of the year in 2021 with our local club and 2020 soloist of the year for western Canada. Keep trolling though.

I just rewatched the first 40 seconds in and i'm unsure about your comment. You think I have no clue what i'm talking about? I won time attack 3 years in a row in our local region, was named soloist of the year in western canada in 2020 and driver of the year with our local club in 2021.

@@ThatTrackChannel never heard of a c6 especially a c6z having issues with overheating. I’ve owned 2.

@YELLOW08Z06 well there's 2 here locally that both had to upgrade rads and a ton of them in the usa that also had to do the same. When you start pushing these cars hard on really sticky rubber, they tend to get hot. There's a c5z race car in this video, it's my old car and we had to upgrade rad, oil cooler and put track spec hood vents to keep the thing cool. So I would think I would have to do the same with this one, once it ends up on really sticky rubber. Maybe I'm wrong, but it's something I will definitely be keeping an eye on.

What color is this? Obviously blue but the specific color.

Definitely get fresh tires otherwise all other upgrades will be questionable. My preference is an offset front and rear tire on the Vette platform. I did not like a square tire setup....and on my C5Z the anti lock brakes work better when the rears are taller than the fronts. Lastly, make sure that the suspension has a quality race alignment and I'm positive that on the C6Z with the aluminum frame there is rear castor adjustment. When the coil overs were installed, if the rear caster is not set correctly you'll be hating life and chasing your tail with handling issues. Also get it corner balanced with your body weight in the seat when they do the corner balancing. Looking forward to your results.

Been considering the move from a C5Z to a C6Z and wonder what are the real improvements for those who enjoy track days. Is it really that different? Asking because you basically pay 2x the price of one in the US.

I wouldn't say it's twice the car. A c5z is a great car. For example that yellow one (my old one) in the video, is one of the fastest cars to ever lap at our home track. The only car that has beat that car is an ACR Extreme. That's pretty impressive if you ask me. Stock for stock, I would say sure there's a difference with the 7.0L vs the 5.7L and wetsump vs dry sump, but if you start modding, the c5z is insanely capable.

Appreciate the input, helps me a lot. ZL1 1LE and an ACR are absolute dream cars, which I could certainly wait a bit longer if needed to own one.
